The procedure should not alter the activity and daily work of the Free Zone
In view of the latest information published on the judicial procedure of the Quality Case, the Cádiz Free Zone wants to express, firstly, its absolute respect for the judicial action and, secondly, clarify that this matter is in the investigation phase and in that phase the only thing that has changed has been that the general director of the Consortium has gone from being a witness to coming to testify as a defendant on September 16.
In this sense, the change from witness to accused, as expressed by His Honor, is nothing more than a reinforcement of the procedural guarantee, so we will have to wait until the end of the investigation phase and for the people who will be or are prosecuted to be determined.
Therefore, this should not alter the activity of either the Free Trade Zone or its general director who, it should be remembered, has provided uninterrupted services both in the time of Mr. Osuna and in that of Mr. De Mier and in the current one, always occupying management positions in the Consortium's organizational chart.
This is the procedural assessment that must be made if you want to be consistent and respectful of the judicial authority and its procedures.
Another very different thing are the political readings that everyone wants to make, but Zona Franca is not going to enter into them.
Just saying that you should not want for some what you do not want and practice for others and the Free Trade Zone has to respect and in fact will always respect what Justice does and determines. Meanwhile, what must be done until this is pronounced definitively is nothing more than continuing to work day by day with the same zeal and tenacity as is currently being done to carry out projects that encourage and help the Cadiz economy.
