Technical visit to the Free Trade Zone of those attending the Meeting of Logistics Zones of Latin America and North Africa

The participants in the Meeting of Logistics Zones of Ibero-America and North Africa that were held in Cádiz on June 26 and 27 visited the facilities of the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz on Thursday afternoon. The State delegate in the Free Zone, Jorge Ramos, and the mayor of Cádiz, Teófila Martínez, received the members of the group in the Melkart Building, in whose central patio a video summarizing the activity of the Cádiz Institution was projected.
Subsequently, attendees took a tour of the Interior Precinct, accompanied by the general director of the Consortium, who explained the details, services and existing buildings, as well as the work that the Free Trade Zone carries out every day in promoting economic and business activity throughout its area of ​​influence.
 During yesterday, technical visits were also carried out to Algeciras, where the Port and the Logistics Activities Zone (ZAL) were visited; and to Jerez, visiting the Agri-Food Center, the Transport City, the airport and the Aeronautical Center.
In the Meeting of Logistics Zones of Ibero-America and North Africa, promoted by the Logistics Platform of Southern Europe, the ambassador of Panama, Roberto Arango, the mayor of Valparaíso (Chile), Jorge Castro, the president of the Mexican Association of Secretaries of Economic Development of the State of Colima (Mexico), Rafael Gutiérrez, the expert in logistics zones, Héctor Vargas, and others participated. the Minister of Transport of the Government of Morocco, Aziz Rabbah.
The Southern European Logistics Platform is an initiative launched jointly by the City Councils of Cádiz, Jerez and Algeciras and the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz, and in which the Provincial Council also collaborates.
