The Executive Committee of the Free Zone approves the agreement with the Rota City Council for the construction of 28 warehouses

The Executive Committee of the Free Zone approved, in its last meeting held on December 28, the collaboration agreement with the Rota City Council for the construction of 28 warehouses on a plot located in the Villa de Rota Business Park.
In addition, the governing body of the Consortium also approved giving the State Delegate, Jorge Ramos, the necessary power to put the work out to tender and proceed in due course with the promotion and marketing of the warehouses.
The work of the 28 warehouses, which will be built on a plot of 7,407.83 m² and will be put out to tender shortly, it has a budget of 2,218,400.50 euros, VAT not included, and has a non-refundable subsidy of 1.77 million euros from the Reindus Plan.
The aid granted by the Ministry of Industry for this project allows for a very significant reduction in the sales prices of the warehouses to be built, so the prices that will be offered to the applicants will be considerably reduced.
This drop in the market prices of the warehouses, which will have an approximate surface area of 250 m², will have a very positive impact on their acquisition and the implementation of productive activities that generate employment in the Industrial Estate, Jorge Ramos' first objective since he took charge of the Free Trade Zone.
Specifically, the 28 nest ships are intended to respond to small and medium-sized businessmen and merchants in the city, in need of facilities in which to launch, expand or diversify their activities, a fact that will also be increased by the consequent economic impact of the expansion of use of the Rota Base, due to its inclusion in the NATO anti-missile shield.
