The Executive Committee of the Free Zone approves the agreement with the Los Barrios City Council

The Executive Committee of the Free Trade Zone approved in its last meeting, held on December 28, the collaboration agreement with the Los Barrios City Council that follows the line initiated by Jorge Ramos of support for entrepreneurs and which consists of the search and identification of entrepreneurial projects that may need warehouses or industrial equipment in order to study the possibility of carrying out operations that we could call "turnkey."
With this initiative, the Cádiz Institution intends that the numerous entrepreneurial projects that today have more difficulties than ever in accessing financing have the opportunity to have the productive spaces they need on a lease basis and, therefore, facilitate their becoming a reality.
This line of action, which is integrated within the financing framework of Reindus and Feder, aims to change the investment model from a traditional development business conception to one in which the end user of the facilities participates in the prior design of the final product.
The delegate of the Free Trade Zone, Jorge Ramos, and the mayor of Los Barrios, Jorge Romero, held a preparatory meeting last November in which they outlined the lines of action for the development of this agreement and agreed to maintain a series of contacts with the business community of Los Barrios so that, in future calls for European Funds (Feder, Reindus, etc.), the execution of business ideas contributed by entrepreneurs could be assumed either directly by the Consortium or shared by it.
The Cádiz Institution has already been established in Los Barrios since 2003 when, in collaboration with the City Council, the Marismas de Palmones Business and Technology Park was launched, which sits on an area of 312,000 square meters. In this business park, the Consortium has warehouses of different sizes and plots in a strategic space that has the emblematic Towers of Hercules and the Azabache Building.
