The Campo de Gibraltar Chamber of Commerce and the Cádiz Free Trade Zone Consortium held an informative talk on Tuesday afternoon, attended by almost thirty companies and entrepreneurs, during which the different customs and tax advantages offered by this entity were presented, as well as various services and projects of interest to the business community promoted by the Consortium. This event is part of the collaboration agreement signed last June between both entities to launch the Business Creation and Consolidation Program of the INCYDE Foundation of the chambers of commerce and which has benefited 25 business projects in the region. The objective of this session is to complement the training received in these two and a half months of participation in the program.
During the course of the day, Francisco Piñero, technician from the Customs and Foreign Trade department, explained what a Free Zone is and the customs and tax advantages obtained by companies that operate in the tax area, while clarifying the type of operations that can be carried out.
Javier Gutiérrez Arévalo, responsible for the Exploitation, Promotion and Project Development area, outlined the present and future investments carried out by the Free Trade Zone in Campo de Gibraltar and the aid from European funds, which will allow a strong commitment to projects for the region and the entire province.
Finally, José Manuel Fedriani Castro, general director and Participated Companies of the Free Zone, reviewed the milestones that have made the current Free Zone go from being a traditional fiscal area to an organization dedicated to promoting the economy after the statutory modification of 1998. Fedriani highlighted the model of the modern Free Zone, a firm defender of the three E's: Business, Entrepreneurs and Employment because "without entrepreneurs there are no companies and without companies no creation is possible." employment.” Elaborating on this line, he explained the advantages that the Cádiz institution offers to entrepreneurs through the consortium's business centers that, acting as "business hotels", offer the possibility of setting up an SME with important facilities and bonuses.
