Initially, the project, with an investment close to 3 million euros, was going to be financed 70% by Feder Funds and the rest with the Consortium's own resources, but upon receipt of the aforementioned subsidy it will be charged to it, which will allow, thanks to the no longer necessary 100% return on the global investment due to the effect of the non-refundable subsidy, the prices that will be offered to the applicants will be considerably reduced.
This drop in the market prices of warehouses will have a very positive impact on their acquisition and the implementation of productive activities that generate employment in the Industrial Estate, Jorge Ramos' first objective since he took charge of the Free Trade Zone.
The project consists of the construction of a set of 28 nest warehouses in the Villa de Rota Business Park and foresees an action on 7,000 square meters, with a surface area per warehouse of approximately 250 square meters.
Specifically, the 28 nest ships are intended to respond to small and medium-sized businessmen and merchants in the city, in need of facilities in which to launch, expand or diversify their activities, a fact that will also be increased by the consequent economic impact of the expansion of use of the Rota Base, due to its inclusion in the NATO anti-missile shield.
With the agreement reached and only pending ratification by the corresponding bodies of the Free Trade Zone and the Rota City Council, it will be possible to proceed with the bidding for the work, which will be carried out shortly.
