Cádiz Free Trade Zone offers the Andalusian health authority its cold storage capacity for the covid-19 vaccine

The State delegate, Fran González, has sent a letter to the Health Minister of the Board and to the Government delegate in Andalusia making his network of refrigerated spaces in the province available to them.

The Cádiz Free Trade Zone takes a step forward to cover the eventual need for cold logistics for the covid-19 vaccine in the face of recent news about the existence of vaccine alternatives that require this type of storage and distribution.

With this premise, the State delegate in the Cádiz Consortium, Fran González, sent letters last Friday to the Minister of Health of the Government of Andalusia, Jesús Aguirre, and to the Government delegate in the community, Sandra García, offering them the collaboration of the fiscal Institution as a first-rate logistics space in the province of Cádiz, with cold storage capacity, which could be useful in the event that the health authority You will need additional storage than what you may already have planned in your Vaccination Plan.

It should be noted that the Consortium has facilities with cold storage capacity, facilities that could house, given the exceptional circumstances of this pandemic, the stock of some of these vaccines, taking into account the conditions recently announced by the manufacturers.

Along these lines, the Consortium reaches out to the competent authorities in the matter with the aim of being able to anticipate the possible demand for cold spaces and to be able to coordinate the infrastructure available in the province in the most optimal way. This anticipation would also allow us to act in case of specific needs that may arise depending on each manufacturer.

With this, the Cádiz Free Trade Zone wants to contribute and collaborate with its logistical capacity to prepare and plan an eventual storage of some of the currently existing vaccine variants and to be able to do so in the best possible conditions within the possibilities existing in its offer of cold facilities.
