The Government delegate in Andalusia, Antonio Sanz, was the protagonist of this meeting that brought together numerous business and political authorities from the Region.
Sanz spoke about the challenges and opportunities for the economic and social development of Campo de Gibraltar
The State delegate in the Cádiz Free Zone, Jorge Ramos, attended this Tuesday the business breakfast organized by the Campo de Gibraltar Chamber of Commerce in Algeciras and whose protagonist was the Government delegate in Andalusia, Antonio Sanz.
Sanz, whose intervention revolved around the challenges and opportunities for the economic development of the Campo de Gibraltar, focused his conference on current issues that affect the Region, such as Brexit, the railway corridor or the ITI, in addition to alluding to the presence of the Free Trade Zone in the Region, with investments exceeding 176 million euros in the period between 2012 and 2015.
The meeting was chaired, in addition to the Government delegate in Andalusia, by the mayor of Algeciras, José Ignacio Landaluce; by the president of the Campo de Gibraltar Chamber of Commerce, Carlos Fenoy; and by the representative of Caixabank, José Ángel Hernández.
Antonio Sanz cited the Free Zone as an engine of development. It must be taken into account that the Consortium has developed two business centers in Algeciras -Almanzor and Nexus- in Campo de Gibraltar; expansion of facilities at the Algeciras Free Warehouse; and a business incubator in Palmones, Los Barrios; among other actions, and where the expansion and expansion project of the Tax Precinct will have a prominent presence, which already has land in El Fresno (Los Barrios) and Cortijo Real (Algeciras).
This project will generate a significant supply of attractive land and available spaces for the establishment of companies, which will increase their competitiveness by being able to benefit from the customs and tax advantages inherent to a tax precinct and will, therefore, save production costs.
