The agreement contemplates the parallel processing of construction and first occupancy licenses to shorten deadlines, in addition to being able to have discounts on the amounts
The works of the first 7 companies in the Free Zone Zone in El Fresno could begin in the near future
The Free Trade Zone of Cádiz and the Los Barrios City Council signed last week, specifically on September 30, the agreement by which the procedures for the construction of the buildings and the installation of the first 7 companies that will be located on the land that the Free Trade Zone has in El Fresno, in Los Barrios, will be governed and greatly accelerated, to establish their tax precinct in this town.
The agreement establishes as main points the management model for the parallel processing of construction and first occupancy licenses, as well as a regulated procedure for their payment to the Los Barrios City Council, which includes payment bonuses.
Specifically, and in addition to speeding up the procedures for the installation of these companies, one of the advantages to highlight is that the licenses corresponding to the constructions will have a bonus of 25% of the amount of the ICIO fee, as these projects are considered of special public utility for the promotion of employment. Along these same lines, the City Council will offer facilities in the payment of taxes.
It must be remembered that there are already seven industries that will be installed in this Free Zone space in Los Barrios, which will begin with a large logistics center, located on the PLT1 plot of 44,439 m2, as well as another 6 companies dedicated to the food sector, dairy products, seafood, a weighing and verification center for maritime containers destined for export, etc.
Jorge Ramos and Jorge Romero met in mid-September at the Consortium's Headquarters and discussed the details of the start of the actions, since the Free Trade Zone will soon proceed to the tender for a first package of works that will be around 25 million euros.
The seven companies that will occupy the facilities demand a total area of more than 70,000 m2 and they have an investment of more than 35 million euros and a forecast of creating more than 400 jobs.
