The Confederation of Businessmen of the province of Cádiz (CEC) inaugurated yesterday Friday its new headquarters in Campo de Gibraltar, in an event attended by the presidents of the CEA and the CEC, Javier González de Lara and Javier Sánchez Rojas, respectively, and which was attended by the Commercial Director of the Free Trade Zone, Javier Gutiérrez, as well as institutional representatives, politicians, social agents and businessmen of the Region.
This new headquarters, located in the Nexus building in the Free Zone, joins the rest of the facilities that the CEC has in other parts of the province, and from where services are provided to the 150 member, sectoral and territorial associations, which bring together more than 18,000 companies.
The president of the CEC, Javier Sánchez Rojas, explained that "our organization wants to reiterate its commitment to Campo de Gibraltar, as an essential territory and economic and business engine of the province of Cádiz, for its drive, from large industries to small entrepreneurs and the wide range of small and medium-sized companies."
Sánchez Rojas reiterated the business organization's commitment to the Campo de Gibraltar. “We do not come to divide, but to multiply and amplify the province's efforts to achieve the key demands of this region,” he said.
The head of the CEC recalled that key business associations of the Campo de Gibraltar are already part of its governing bodies, executive committee and board of directors: AGI (large industries), ATEIA-OLTRA (Association of Freight Forwarders, International and Assimilated Shippers of the Campo de Gibraltar), APYMEAL (Association of Small and Medium Enterprises of Algeciras) and AESBA (Association of Service Companies of the Bay of Algeciras).
In the last year, the CEC has significantly intensified the organization of events and the provision of services in the Campo de Gibraltar. From events with current themes, such as the “Coffee with…” cycle, to technical conferences, seminars, training sessions, sectoral commissions, or its constant presence in organizations such as the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras, SERCLA, the Economic and Social Council of the Commonwealth of Municipalities of Campo de Gibraltar, etc., in which it represents the business community of the region.
The technical person in charge of the new CEC offices in Campo de Gibraltar is María del Mar Sánchez del Río. These facilities are in addition to those that the employer organization has open in Cádiz, Jerez and Chiclana.
The new facilities are two 32.06 m modules2 y 30,33 m2 of surface in the Nexus Building, a business center built by Zona Franca with an unbeatable location and modern facilities.
Currently, more than 1,050 m2 of the Nexus Business Center are now on the market, a response that demonstrates the suitability of the implementation of this equipment, which has involved an investment of 6.5 million euros – co-financed by funds requested within the Framework of the FEDER Operational Program of Andalusia 2007-2013.
