The State delegate in the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, Jorge Ramos, and the head of the Civil Guard Command in Cádiz, Colonel Alfonso Rodríguez Castillo, met yesterday morning at the Consortium's Headquarters to study the measures and new planning to be adopted to ensure the security of the Cádiz Tax Precinct after the recent expansion in the Cádiz capital with the inclusion of the lands of the former Altadis.
The Free Trade Zone of Cádiz has for years maintained a close relationship with the Civil Guard, which has 20 officers distributed throughout the Tax Precinct, in charge of general surveillance and entry and exit controls, as well as its own post in one of the central streets of the precinct.
Once the Consortium has carried out the demolition work of the fence that separated the Free Trade Zone from the old Altadis and has physically integrated the land, the Cádiz Institution will also proceed to homogenize the security system and the surveillance cameras.
The Tax Precinct of the Cádiz Free Zone now has 486,881 m2, with the addition of 156,881 m2 of the old tobacco company at 330,000 m2 that made up its historic customs facility. The Ministry of Finance and Public Administrations authorized, with the publication of the Order in the Official State Gazette of March 22, the expansion of the Tax Precinct of the Free Zone in the city of Cádiz, with all the customs and fiscal advantages of the Free Zone.
