The Consortium has committed to making some improvements proposed by Cetárea, especially in the regulation of heavy traffic that crosses Vía de Norway street in the Interior Campus.
The company has been operating in a warehouse in the Free Trade Zone since 2001 and is dedicated to the marketing of live crustaceans and mollusks.
The State delegate in the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, Jorge Ramos, visited the Cetárea del Sur facilities in the Interior Area yesterday morning and promised to carry out various improvements proposed by the company in relation, above all, to the reorganization of traffic that crosses Vía de Norway street, where the seafood firm is located.
In this way, the Consortium will reorganize the passage of heavy vehicles along that road, which cause vibrations and endanger the company's supply networks, while the Free Zone technical team will draft a project to resurface and repair the street pavement, very deteriorated from supporting this road traffic, in order to cushion the impact of the trucks that cross the street.
At the same time, Zona Franca will send clients and users of the Tax Precinct a communication reminding them of the need to respect the speed limit of 30 km/hour throughout the precinct for the benefit of all those who work there.
Cetárea del Sur is a company established in the Free Zone since 2001 and is dedicated to the marketing and distribution of live crustaceans and mollusks. In their facilities they have a cetarea, which is the place that allows the seafood to be kept alive, such as lobsters, crabs, sea nettles, clams, oysters, crabs, sea ox... The conditions are very similar to their natural habitat, with an optimal temperature and where the water is in constant circulation to maintain a good level of oxygenation.
The origin of Cetárea del Sur must be sought in the year 2000 when these students from the University of Cádiz developed the project that has given life to the company as part of a subject at the Faculty of Business. Zona Franca, based on an agreement with the University of Cádiz, selected it and supported it with advantageous conditions to access the facilities, among other benefits.
