Zona Franca awards the work of adapting offices in the old Altadis

The company in charge of the work will be Construcciones Manzano SA, with an award amount of 104,347.76 euros (VAT not included), which represents a 21% reduction compared to the tender budget.

The work, which was put out to tender on May 12, will begin next week and the execution period is a month and a half.

These facilities will house the Alestis headquarters, which will be implemented this summer in the Fiscal Precinct

This week, the Cádiz Free Trade Zone has awarded Construcciones Manzano SL the partial adaptation work on the ground floor of the league preparation plant (PPL) office building in the former facilities of the Altadis tobacco industrial center in Cádiz, for an award amount of 104,347.76 euros (VAT not included) and a completion period of a month and a half.

There have been seven companies submitted to the competition, whose bidding budget has been 132,085.77 euros (VAT not included), which means that the award amount is 21% lower than the bidding amount.

The majority of the companies submitted to the contest, which the Cádiz Free Trade Zone launched last May 12 and whose deadline ended last Tuesday, have been Andalusian and specifically from Cádiz.

The awarded work will modernize and adapt spaces that are more than 25 years old to new uses and needs. The offices, which are obsolete and deteriorated after years of non-use and the passage of time, have an area of 300 m2 and are located on the ground floor of the building attached to the PPL.

This equipment will house the offices of the logistics center that Alestis will install in the Cádiz Free Trade Zone this summer, whose offer was approved by the Contracting Board meeting to carry out the evaluations of the Public Offer to occupy these spaces.

The facilities of the old tobacco factory are already part of the Cadiz Tax Precinct after authorization by the Ministry of Finance and Public Administrations last March, which makes it possible for the Free Zone to go from having 330,000 m2 to 486,881 m2 of Tax Precinct with the corresponding customs and tax advantages in the Cadiz capital.
