Ramos has highlighted the great change that is going to occur in the outer industrial estate and the importance of having the relocation warehouses built in the Interior Precinct.
The works have a completion period of three months and an award amount of 174,961.17 euros (VAT not included)
Today, the Cádiz Free Trade Zone has begun the demolition work on the old existing facilities on the plot that belonged to Talleres Faro, located on Ronda de Vigilancia street on the corner of Tarifa street, and which will be carried out by the company Construcciones Manzano, winner of these works for an amount of 174,961.17 euros (VAT not included).
The State delegate, Jorge Ramos, accompanied by technicians from the Consortium and managers of the company in charge of the work, attended the beginning of the dismantling tasks of the existing facilities.
Jorge Ramos explained that this is an important step in the process of regeneration of the Outdoor Industrial Estate that the Free Trade Zone is carrying out with the City Council of Cádiz through the Office for Attracting Investments in the Outdoor Industrial Estate of the Free Trade Zone, OPEX, and highlighted the great transformation that is going to occur in this area of the city. He recalled that with this there are now two demolition works underway, that of the old Abelló Linde, which began at the end of May, and the current one at Talleres Faro.
The delegate also highlighted the importance of having the relocation warehouses that the Consortium has built in the Interior Precinct, next to the new Europa Building, whose occupancy is 100%, which have been a very useful tool so that businessmen who had their businesses in the exterior industrial area have not had to stop their activity.
The demolition work affects the buildings located on a 6,020 m² plot and the facilities that will be demolished are the main industrial building of 5,995 m², inside which there are several smaller warehouses, and a 420 m² office building.
Attached to the facilities described, there is another industrial building, located on Ronda de Vigilancia street, which will not be demolished, as will a Transformation Center owned by Eléctrica de Cádiz.
The Free Trade Zone acquired the Talleres Faro warehouse from the municipal company EMASA for an amount of 2.8 million euros, located at the entrance to the city, in the execution unit UE-ZF-11, one of the priority execution areas when starting the remodeling works of the Exterior Precinct and which will undergo an exceptional transformation, with extensive commercial and hotel equipment, along with garden areas and parking lots, generating economic activity. and wealth for all Cadiz residents.
What is known as the industrial zone of the city will change radically with the creation of the Metropolitan Center, the commercial, hotel and office space at the entrance to the city, and the radical transformation of Algeciras Street, with the setback of the margins, the opening of a street that would join it with Gibraltar Street and the urbanization of new green spaces and roads.
