The installation of electrical connections for public lighting and the expansion of the sidewalk are also being carried out.
Since May, the Cádiz Free Trade Zone has been carrying out works to improve the external enclosure of the plot occupied by Construcciones Aeronáuticas in the city of Cádiz, works that were processed urgently due to the deterioration of the wall that fenced the site.
The works affect, on the one hand, Guadalmesí and Avenida Lacave streets, where the existing wall, which was in poor condition, is being replaced with a metal enclosure in the same place where the deteriorated wall was located although, as a safety measure and to avoid accidents, the temporary construction fence is currently occupying the sidewalk.
At the same time, on Lacave Avenue, where the wall in poor condition is also being replaced with a metal enclosure, the electrical connection is being carried out inside the plot in order to install public lighting on that road. In addition, on Marconi Avenue the existing enclosure is being set back 60 centimeters to widen the sidewalk.
The Cádiz Consortium had already carried out several actions aimed at maintaining and improving the CASA plot. In 2013, and also at the request of the City Council, the site was comprehensively cleaned and shanties that had been installed on the plot were removed. After the completion of these cleaning works, the Free Trade Zone proceeded in the same year to regenerate the wall and perimeter fence.
