Zona Franca acquires the Abelló Linde plots in the Outer Precinct

The land covers a total area of 9,970 m2 and its acquisition has involved an outlay of 2.8 million euros.

Last Wednesday, December 31, the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz acquired the two plots of Abelló Linde in the Exterior Estate of the Free Trade Zone, specifically on Gibraltar Street, in what represents another important step in the process of reorganization of the Exterior Precinct of the Free Trade Zone undertaken together with the City Council of Cádiz, through the Office for Attracting Investments of the Exterior Estate of the Free Trade Zone, OPEX.
The operation carried out consists of the acquisition of the two plots of Abelló Linde or former Ibérica-AGA that add up to a total area of 9,970 m2 and whose price has been 2,800,000 euros.
This acquisition joins those carried out by the Consortium in recent years –former Super Cádiz, Talleres Narváez, ECAVA and the most recent Talleres Faro–, actions all aimed at taking positions for the future in the execution units that will initially be carried out.
It must be remembered that the OPEX technicians are carrying out meticulous diagnostic work, through which the 515,000 m2 of the industrial estate have been distributed into 15 execution units, which in turn will be framed in different phases. The development of this project will create a more modern, active and orderly city, which will attract investments.
What is known as the industrial zone of the city will change radically with the creation of the Metropolitan Center, the commercial, hotel and office space at the entrance to the city, and the radical transformation of Algeciras Street, with the setback of the margins, the opening of a street that would join it with Gibraltar Street and the urbanization of new green spaces and roads.
