The implementation of the energy service of improvement, efficiency and savings in the car parks that the Consortium has in the city, Carranza and Glorieta, in the Outdoor Precinct, and Parking in Height, in the interior, will mean savings for the Cádiz Consortium of more than 50%, after the investment of 233,000 euros already completed in an energy efficiency project that consisted of dismantling the existing installation, supply, installation and assembly of new equipment.
In view of the billings of the last two months, it can be seen how the Interior Parking Lot has gone from an average monthly billing of 987 euros to 394, which implies a saving of 60%; in Carranza from 2,800 euros to 1,395, which represents a reduction of 50%; and in the Glorieta it has gone from 509 to 223, with a saving of 57%.
These eloquent figures of the billing of the last two months allow us to ensure that there is an annual saving of around 50% and the energy reduction will go from 50,000 euros per year to just over 24,000 and without this having entailed any type of decrease in the lighting conditions of these facilities, but on the contrary, their power has even been increased with the new equipment that has been installed.
Zona Franca, in view of these encouraging results, will continue to deepen this type of energy efficiency and consumption reduction projects, so necessary in the current era, maintaining the same energy services, without reducing comfort or quality of life, ensuring supply, protecting the environment and promoting sustainability, for which it will address in a new phase the implementation of the public lighting project for the entire Fiscal Area.
