The facilities will house the company Spelia, a logistics operator that will centralize its activity in the province in the municipality of Porto, creating 23 direct jobs.
The works were awarded to ECISA for an amount of 990,000 euros (VAT not included), with financing from the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism
The Special Delegate of the State in the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz, Jorge Ramos Aznar, yesterday visited the works of the warehouse for a logistics operator, which the Consortium promotes in the Las Salinas Industrial Estate in El Puerto de Santa María. The work, which began on September 19, 2013, is well advanced and is scheduled to be completed by the end of May.
This facility, which sits on a plot of 6,598 m², has an area of 2,557 m², including an attached office building, store, loading docks and cold storage.
It should be remembered that the facility was put out to public bid at the beginning of 2013 and finally the company Spelia was awarded the lease, with a 10-year extendable contract. Thus, the new warehouse will unify the two headquarters that the logistics operator currently had in the province and will make it possible to take advantage of resources and expand business lines, thereby gaining competitiveness and allowing the creation of 23 new direct jobs, with an estimated turnover of 2.2 million euros.
The works were awarded by Zona Franca on July 30, 2013 to the construction company ECISA CIA General de Construcciones S.A., with an execution budget of 990,000 euros (VAT not included). This contract is financed by Reindus Funds from the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism.
This new facility in El Puerto de Santa María will generate a type of logistics activity that currently does not exist in the Las Salinas Commercial Park, which is why it has great acceptance among the business sector of the municipality and the Bay, due to its strategic location and the wide range of services it will provide.
Las Salinas is currently one of the main business and commercial parks in the Bay of Cádiz, with great demand from companies and with an important range of added services. The Free Trade Zone has one of its business centers located there, the Las Salinas Business Center, which currently serves 39 companies and offers offices for coworking, one of the most requested services by young entrepreneurs who can start their activities in offices from 50€ per month.
