The Special Delegate of the State in the Vigo Free Trade Zone, Teresa Pedrosa, visits the Free Trade Zone

The visit was intended to strengthen collaboration between both institutions
Pedrosa was accompanied by the general director of Foreign Relations of Citröen Spain, a company located since 1959 in the Vigo Free Trade Zone.

The delegate of the Vigo Free Zone Consortium, Teresa Pedrosa, visited the Cádiz Free Zone yesterday afternoon, Tuesday, March 18, where she met with the delegate of the Cádiz Free Zone, Jorge Ramos, in a meeting that intensified the collaboration between the institutions, both dependent on the Ministry of Finance and Public Administrations. At the end of the visit, the delegate signed the Book of Honor of the Cádiz Consortium.
Pedrosa, who was accompanied by the general director of Foreign Relations of Citröen Spain, María José Taboas, visited the facilities of the Cádiz Free Zone, which are almost identical in size to those of the Vigo Free Zone. In fact, both delegates assured that both take ideas and projects that the other Free Zone implements.
Jorge Ramos informed Teresa Pedrosa of the actions carried out by Zona Franca de Cádiz, especially those aimed at reinforcing the role of entrepreneurs in our province, through the policy of constructing business centers and developing industrial estates; incentive measures and subsidies from FEDER funds, applicable to ongoing business projects; as well as the Southern European Logistics Platform, in which the Cádiz Free Trade Zone is an important part through the expansion project and expansion of the tax area in several municipalities in the province.
Curiously, the delegate of the Galician Free Trade Zone commented that in Vigo a joint project is also being carried out with the Xunta de Galicia to implement the Logistics Platform of the Northwest of Spain and they also want to carry out an expansion of the tax precinct, similar projects to those that have been launched in the province of Cádiz, with the Logistics Platform of Southern Europe and with the expansion of new tax precincts of the Cádiz Consortium in other municipalities. of the province.
Pedrosa also stressed that in the times of crisis we are currently experiencing, both the Free Trade Zone of Vigo and Cádiz are resuming business lines focused on returning to the origins with Foreign Trade.
In addition to Ramos and Pedrosa, María José Taboas, from Citröen España, a company established in the Vigo Free Trade Zone since 1959, took advantage of the visit to highlight the important work carried out by the Galician Institution in generating new businesses and strengthening existing ones.
