The Free Trade Zone is developing a project for the implementation of the energy service for improvement, efficiency and savings in the parking lots that the Consortium has in the city, Carranza and Glorieta, in the Outdoor Area, and Parking in Height, inside. The project is completed with a grid-connected photovoltaic installation in the latter, which will be used for self-consumption.
The development of the works, with an execution period of two months and an amount of 232,909.18 euros (VAT included), will mean a substantial reduction in the electricity bill, with savings estimated at 38%.
The action, which has a 20% subsidy from the Andalusian Energy Agency, will consist of the dismantling of the existing installation, supply, installation and assembly of new equipment, as well as the adaptation of the electrical installation for the new equipment. After this, the start-up, verification and measurement of energy consumption and the issuance of technical reports will proceed to finalize the grid-connected photovoltaic installation in the High Rise Parking.
With this measure, the Cádiz Consortium aims to be faithful to the principles of energy efficiency and reduction of electricity consumption, so necessary in the current era, maintaining the same energy services, without reducing comfort or quality of life, ensuring supply, protecting the environment and promoting sustainability.
The parking lots in the Free Zone are one more service that the Consortium provides to citizens, taking into account that they are located in areas of high demographic density that are highly demanded by users.
The Glorieta Parking is located in the heart of the industrial zone, with direct access from the Carranza Bridge and José León de Carranza Avenue. The High Level Parking is located in the Interior Precinct of the Free Trade Zone, very close to the previous one.
As for the Carranza Stadium Parking, it is located in one of the most populated areas of the city and difficult to park, especially in the summer season.
