The president of the Provincial Council and the delegate of the Free Zone visit the works of the Hospitality School in the Europa Building

Loaiza announces that the new Fernando Quiñones Hospitality School will be operational in two weeks.

The new Fernando Quiñones Hospitality School, managed by the Provincial Council, will be a reality and will provide service in two weeks, as announced by José Loaiza, after his visit to the works that are being carried out and which are practically completed in the Europa Building, located in the interior of the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz.
Loaiza, who was accompanied by the special delegate of the Free Trade Zone, Jorge Ramos, highlighted “the record time” in which the works have been carried out, which began in mid-August, and has shown his satisfaction with the fact that classes can start in two weeks, "as long as other administrations are not delayed in the latest permits that we are managing," Loaiza specified.
“This is an example of institutional collaboration and of solving the problems that are found and not covering them up,” Loaiza stated regarding the work coordinated with the Free Trade Zone. In this sense, Jorge Ramos has highlighted that “there has been a fluid relationship between the technical and legal team of the Zona Franca and Provincial Council.”
Ramos also highlighted the importance of the new facility for the Europa Building and for the entire Tax Precinct, to which it incorporates a new use, training, which will give life to the precinct beyond working hours, thus consolidating one of the challenges of the Free Trade Zone: expanding business activity with sports and leisure activities, as has already been launched with the paddle tennis courts, the daycare center or the restaurant area, among others.

The new School will now have 1,250 square meters distributed over two floors. It is equipped with bakery and pastry workshops, cafeteria, catering and hot kitchen; warehouse areas, installation room, cold room, repair and frozen rooms and changing rooms; theoretical training classrooms and administrative and teaching areas.

The president of the Provincial Council has compared the situation of this Hospitality School with the one managed by the Board in Cádiz. "While there is another administration that has another Hospitality School that does not pay salaries and it is not known when it will open, Diputación complies” Loaiza stated.

Loaiza has clarified that the works could have been finished even earlier, but the transfer of material has been delayed until the last moment so as not to interfere with the classes currently being taught at the Valcárcel headquarters.

The Provincial Council has had to make a significant investment effort so that the Hospitality School, which has high rates of success in job placement, can remain open in the city of Cádiz, after the problems that arose a year ago, when the kitchens located in the Valcárcel building were closed due to security problems.

Thanks to the agreement between the Provincial Council and the Free Trade Zone for the transfer of the Hospitality School to the Europa Building, the safety of the students is guaranteed and makes possible a modernization of the equipment that must have an impact on the improvement in the quality of the teaching provided.
