The delegate of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, Jorge Ramos, and the mayor of El Puerto de Santa María, Enrique Moresco, met this morning at the Headquarters of the Cádiz Consortium to analyze joint projects. The first mayor of Porto was accompanied by the Councilor for Urban Planning, Diego Muñoz, and the manager of Impulsa El Puerto, Cayetano Gómez. The general director of the Free Zone, José Manuel Fedriani, also attended the meeting.
The central theme of the visit was the study of a project planned for the historic center of El Puerto, on a plot of more than 5,000 m2, planned for use by economic activities.
This action, which analyzes the possibility of building a set of premises and offices, respecting those parts of the old building that must be subjected to rehabilitation and conservation, would significantly revitalize a part of the historic center close to the bullring, which would see its business attractiveness increased with other parallel works, such as pedestrianization, public parking, etc.
Both Ramos and Moresco plan to study this project in detail in the coming weeks, an action that would also strengthen the relationship between the Free Zone and the El Puerto de Santa María City Council. The Consortium has the facilities of the Las Salinas Commercial Park in that municipality, with the Business Center at full capacity.
In addition, last month the first stone for the construction of the Logistics Warehouse for Operators was laid, also in the Las Salinas Industrial Estate, which will have the Spelia company as a user under a lease with a 10-year extendable contract.
