The councilors and collaborators of the 4 Districts of Cádiz visit the Free Trade Zone

A group made up of the councilors of the four Districts into which the City Council has distributed the city and their respective collaborators visited the facilities of the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz on the afternoon of last Tuesday, February 26, within the open door program that the Consortium has launched to make citizens aware of its work and that of the companies installed in its Interior Precinct.
The group, headed by the District coordinator and councilor of District 4, José Pablo Chaves León; by the councilor of District 1, Dolores Palomino Aguilar; by the councilor of District 2, Pablo Román Rodríguez; and by the councilor of District 3, Alejandro Varela López, began his visit in the assembly hall of the Heracles building, where he was received by the Special State Delegate, Jorge Ramos; the Chief of Staff, Tania Barcelona; and the head of Customs, Francisco Piñero. After the welcome, an explanatory video summary of all the activity that the Institution carries out in the city and the province to promote economic growth and job creation was shown.
After visiting the Melkart building, the new Europa building and its Business Center and taking a tour of the Interior Campus, the group moved to the facilities of the Caladero company, Mercadona's integrated supplier of seafood products. The director of the Cádiz plant, Iván Zuazúa, and the person in charge of External Relations at Mercadona, Rodolfo Hernández, guided the group through the facilities, allowing access to the different product handling and packaging areas. –prawn and sardine - and offering a tasting of them at the end of the visit.
The day ended in the Consortium's Plenary Room, where they were received again by Jorge Ramos, who explained to them that the meetings of the Consortium's governing bodies, Plenary and Executive Committee, are held in said office, and he presented them with a commemorative gift, the book of the 80 years of History of the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz.
The guided tour program launched by the Free Trade Zone aims to make the Institution known to Cádiz society and share the activity and projects it is carrying out, as well as the change of image and strategy promoted by the new State Delegate, Jorge Ramos.
These open days are aimed at all types of social and cultural entities, educational centers, neighborhood associations, professional associations, etc., and will show the citizens of Cádiz what the Fiscal Precinct currently is, configured in the 50s of the last century with land reclaimed from the sea and how it has been converted into a modern business enclave that currently comprises modern office buildings and warehouses dedicated to various activities.
