The delegate of the Free Trade Zone, Jorge Ramos, speaks tomorrow, Thursday, in the series of conferences that are being held within the framework of the XXX Week of Marine Studies that is taking place this year in Cádiz on the occasion of the Bicentennial.
The meeting, which began yesterday in the Auditorium of the Institute of Development and Employment of Cádiz, is organized by the ASESMAR Foundation and the Puertos del Estado Public Entity and the Free Trade Zone, the City Council, the University of Cádiz, the Spanish Navy and Cajamar collaborate.
Ramos will open the morning session with a conference titled “Cádiz: Southern Europe and crossroads of the highways of the sea”, in which he will speak about the importance of the strategic location of Cádiz and Andalusia in maritime and land trade operations.
The conference, which will conclude at one in the afternoon with a reading of conclusions, will also have the participation of the director of Construction of Navantia, Angel Recamán, and the former rector of the UCA, Diego Sales.
One of the main activities of the ASESMAR Foundation is precisely the organization of these meetings, which consist of the development of a series of conferences, followed by the corresponding colloquiums, which are given by experts of the highest level in the subjects discussed; responsible for organizations or centers linked to the sea or entities and companies also linked, in some way, with marine activities.
That same afternoon, the Delegate of the Free Zone will attend the awards ceremony held annually by La Voz de Cádiz and the welcome cocktail of the VII Congress of FETEIA, the organization of Spanish freight forwarders, which this year is held in Cádiz and will continue on Friday morning with the opening ceremony.
The Cádiz Consortium and the Association of Spanish Freight Forwarders signed an agreement last July, with an eye on this VII Congress and through which the Free Trade Zone will take an active part in the meeting, showing its support for the sector and promoting its products, services and facilities, which are especially suitable, among the attending businessmen.
The FETEIA-OLTRA congresses bring together freight forwarders from across the State as well as those responsible for ports, airports, shipping companies, airlines, Public Administrations, private companies in our sector and other entities related to international logistics and foreign trade. The objective is aimed at sharing innovative and strategic information for companies in the sector.
