The Free Trade Zone delegate receives the president of FETEIA

The delegate of the Free Trade Zone, Jorge Ramos, and the president of the Spanish Federation of Freight Forwarders (FETEIA), Enric Ticó, held a meeting at the Consortium's Headquarters in which they ratified a collaboration agreement with an eye on the VII FETEIA-OLTRA Congress to be held in Cádiz from October 4 to 6.
The meeting was also attended by the general director of the Consortium, Félix Taboada, the director of FETEIA, Blanca Guitart, and the president of ATEIA in Cádiz, Juan Vidal, whose company –Cayco- has been installed in the Interior Precinct of the Free Trade Zone for years.

With this agreement, the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz intends to take an active part in the meeting of freight forwarders, show its support for the sector and promote among the attending businessmen its products, services and facilities, which are especially suitable for the activities and services offered by the Cádiz institution.

The Spanish Federation of Freight Forwarders brings together companies related to logistics and transport in any of its modalities and areas, including the customs sector.

In the new line of work initiated, the Free Trade Zone reaffirms its support for the business community in general and the freight forwarding sector in particular, a sector firmly rooted in the Consortium's facilities since its origins.

With this agreement, the Cádiz Institution will actively participate in the October Congress, consolidate its presence in the freight forwarding world and promote itself commercially in all the forums that will make up the Congress. FETEIA-OLTRA has invited to the Congress the presidents of the freight forwarders of the neighboring countries (France, Portugal, and Morocco), as well as those of the International Associations ALACAT (America), CLECAT (Europe) and FIATA (International).

With the motto "The freight forwarder, driver of foreign trade", FETEIA will bring together the companies that drive Spanish foreign trade with “the objective of increasing the relationship between companies, at a time when the synergies derived from this knowledge can be especially important, to discuss essential aspects in this activity such as developments in customs matters, in macroeconomic areas or the importance of infrastructure and how these should be as efficient as possible for the development of cargo and logistics", according to the words of its president.
