As of March 31, the Cádiz Free Trade Zone has formulated its 2025 accounts, which confirm the path of stability and financial health achieved by the Cádiz Consortium in recent years. The closing of the financial year has produced a profit of 6.1 million euros, a figure that triples that of 2024, when the figure reached 1.9 million euros. Thus, for the second consecutive year, the Free Trade Zone has once again obtained a positive balance, after having been making losses for 13 consecutive years.

Another fact that stands out from the formulation of the Consortium's annual accounts is that the level of debt also continues to reduce, standing at the end of the 2025 financial year below 90 million euros, which represents a reduction of 53% compared to the total debt since 2020.

In this sense, the early cancellation of the debt during 2025 has resulted in the reduction of financial expenses by 11% compared to the previous year, a trend that confirms the optimal management of financial resources to significantly reduce the effect that financial expenses have on the profit and loss balance of the Fiscal Institution.

Furthermore, for the 2026 financial year, the forecast points to a reduction in debt to below 75 million euros.

In parallel, the upward trend in income from the Corporate Tax appeal of the companies installed in the premises continues, with income of more than 7 million euros, a figure that is triple the average income in the last five years and which allows the Free Zone to plan greater investment in its infrastructure.

Likewise, as announced in last year's balance sheet during the traditional Christmas breakfast, during 2025 the Cádiz Free Trade Zone exceeded 15 million euros in turnover for the first time at the end of the 2025 financial year, having carried out a total of 108 commercial operations, of which 74 have been new lease contracts and 34 sales.

The formulation of the 2025 accounts, in time and deadline as of March 31, -as regulated by article 127 of the General Budget Law, which establishes that the annual accounts of the entities that make up the state public sector must be formulated within a maximum period of three months from the close of the financial year-, reflects that the 2025 financial year is shown as the year of consolidation of the growth of the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz, with positive economic results and sanitation total of your finances.

It must be remembered that in the previous year the balance of the accounts confirmed the evolution of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, which recovered its solvency and liquidity and made it possible for the General State Intervention to issue a favorable report without qualifications in its audit for the second consecutive year, after carrying it out in 2023 for the first time in the history of the Cádiz Consortium since audits have been carried out.

It is important to note that the absence of qualifications demonstrates the correct application of accounting principles and the solidity of administrative and financial procedures, which reinforces and strengthens confidence in the Institution and its ability to continue promoting strategic projects for the province of Cádiz. Thus, compliance with the 2021-2025 Viability Plan and the 180º turnaround in the economic situation of the Consortium are reflected in financial statements that show solvency and solidity and that support the 2026-2030 Strategic Plan approved a few months ago, which marks the roadmap of the Free Zone to continue attracting talent and initiatives that promote a more innovative and competitive business fabric in favor of socioeconomic development. of the province of Cádiz, a fundamental statutory objective of the Cádiz Consortium.
