The Plenary Session of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone unanimously approves the agreement for the construction of the new hospital

THE delegate of the State in the Fiscal Institution, Fran González, emphasizes that, with plenary approval, the Cádiz Consortium is now in a position to ratify the agreement that will shape the free transfer of land for health equipment

The Plenary Session of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone Consortium today unanimously approved the collaboration agreement between the Fiscal Institution, the City Council and the Department of the Presidency and Emergencies and the Department of Economy and Finance, European Funds and Social Dialogue, of the Government of Andalusia for the transfer of land that will allow the construction of the new city hospital on the old CASA plot.

The special delegate of the State in the Free Zone, Fran Gonzáléz, has highlighted that "I have always maintained that the Free Zone would be part of the solution for the unblocking of the Cádiz hospital project and the facts attest to this. With this last step taken by the Consortium, with its plenary approval, we are in a position to be able to sign this Friday the agreement that will give shape to the free transfer of the land by the Free Zone, of the Government of Spain”.

Fran González added that “this allows a project that has unfortunately been delayed for so many years and that is so necessary and in demand by Cadiz society to become a reality.”.

With the celebration and approval in the Plenary Session of the Consortium, chaired by the mayor of the city of Cádiz, Bruno García, who is president of this Government body, the Free Zone completes the previous and necessary work to ratify the agreement that will be signed tomorrow in the Heracles building of the Cádiz fiscal precinct and on which the three administrations have been working for months to advance the construction of this important health facility for the people of Cádiz.

The Plenary Session of the Cádiz Free Zone Consortium is made up, in addition to the mayor-president and the Special delegate who holds the vice presidency, by three members from the State, by five from the Cádiz City Council, one from the Provincial Council, one from the Port Authority, as well as representatives from the Customs Administration, Chamber of Commerce and Renfe.

The new hospital project will be developed on the plot located on Marconi Avenue, on the former CASA land, with an area of ​​33,582 square meters, property of the Cádiz Free Zone Consortium, which appears in the city's General Urban Planning Plan as public health equipment.
