The Cádiz Free Trade Zone begins today in Malaga "Blue Core en route", a program of presentations of its latest Blue Economy project, which will take it to different cities throughout Spain, such as Barcelona, Huelva, Seville, Almería, Murcia, Bilbao, Vigo or Madrid with the help of allied entities of the Cádiz Consortium and that are part of its Blue Economy ecosystem.

“Blue Core en Ruta” is an initiative aimed at presenting the Blue Core–Incubazul project at the national level and strengthening the connection of the Blue Economy ecosystem of Cádiz with other strategic territories in Spain.

This program of meetings will bring the model promoted by the Free Zone closer to different agents from the business, technological, institutional and academic fields, with the aim of generating new alliances, attracting talent, promoting innovative projects and positioning Cádiz as one of the main nodes of the Blue Economy in the country.

The capital of Malaga has been the starting point of this calendar and today the first of the presentations was held at the headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce of that city by the Maritime Maritime Cluster of Andalusia, whose president Javier Noriega was in charge of opening the day together with the president of the Digital Economy Commission of the Chamber of Commerce, Ricardo Nandwani; and the managing director of Málaga Port, Pilar Fernández.

The State delegate in the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, Fran González, has presented the Blue Core program, co-financed by Feder Funds, which has come to reinforce the Blue Economy ecosystem of the Cádiz Consortium and give continuity to the highly innovative incubator Incubazul, reinforcing its strategic commitment to the sector as an engine of economic development, innovation and generation of qualified employment.

Fran González explained that "we are present where the industrial, technological and maritime future of the country is defined and we are going to continue leading and connecting the blue ecosystem of Cadiz with the entire national territory." The head of the Cádiz Consortium added that "the Blue Economy is not a passing trend, it is one of the great vectors of growth in Europe in the coming decades and in the province of Cádiz we have all the conditions to lead it. We are building a comprehensive model that creates, accelerates and consolidates companies, that attracts investment and generates qualified employment, in addition to positioning ourselves on the national and international map of blue innovation."

Today's day ended with a panel discussion of experts titled "Entrepreneurship and digitalization in the marine maritime ecosystem. Networking experiences. Success stories", in which Francisco Salas, managing director of Promálaga, participated; Antonio Cordero, Tourism and Planning consultant on the Costa del Sol; Ingris Mateo; CEO of Microenvironmental and member of Equality and Entrepreneurship of the Maritime Marine Cluster of Andalusia; and Juan José Sibina Calderón, managing director of the Association of Shipping Agents and Port Companies of Málaga.

With this new initiative, the Free Zone reinforces its role as a driving agent of innovation and transformation of the business fabric, promoting the creation of new economic opportunities linked to the sea and strengthening the connection of the blue Cadiz ecosystem with the entire national territory.

“Blue Core en Ruta” thus represents a new step in Cádiz's positioning strategy as a benchmark in the Blue Economy and an innovation node linked to the maritime, technological and sustainable sectors.
