The document has been approved by the Committee of Security of the Consortium and training will be offered to workers so that they have the precise information that allows them to make correct use of AI
The Artificial Intelligence systems usually used by the Consortium are classified as limited risk and mainly serve auxiliary and informative support functions.
The Executive Committee of the Cádiz Free Zone has given the green light to the Manual of Good Practices in the deployment and use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems, a document that establishes an ethical framework for the use of this tool in all departments of the Consortium.
The objective of this document, which is already published on the Consortium's Transparency Portal, is to establish a procedure so that AI is a safe, reliable and human-centered instrument that guarantees compliance with current regulations regarding the General Data Protection Regulation, the Artificial Intelligence Regulation and the National Security Scheme.
The Cádiz Free Trade Zone uses Artificial Intelligence systems that are classified as limited or not high risk and are used for auxiliary or informative support functions, such as general summary work, drafts or simple informative queries, without substantially influencing final decision-making.
The document ratified by the Executive Committee, which has been previously approved by the Consortium's Security Committee, structures the lines and way of working with Artificial Intelligence and also analyzes the risks that could arise working with this tool and the obligations derived from its use, among other keys.
The State delegate in the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz, Fran González, has stated that "this manual will be very useful for workers since it gives them the keys to be able to use it without risks. Without a doubt, Artificial Intelligence offers a transformative potential in many aspects of our lives, but it also poses challenges in terms of privacy, security and ethics that we must know how to manage. It is important to be very clear about what the experts say and that we must always keep in mind, and that is that AI does not replace your ability to think; it helps you think. better.”
