The president of State Ports visits the Free Trade Zone to learn about its Blue Economy projects and the new industry 4.0 model

The president of Puertos del Estado, Gustavo Santana, has visited the Free Zone of Cádiz, where he has been received at the Headquarters by the State delegate, Fran González, a meeting in which the subdelegate of the Government in Cádiz, Blanca Flores, has also been present. The person in charge of the Spanish ports has seen first-hand the management and activity of the Cádiz Consortium and its large projects underway.

Fran González thanked Gustavo Santana for his interest in the Cádiz tax area and updated him on the good progress in the income statement, focusing especially on the new industry 4.0 model implemented by the Cádiz Free Trade Zone and its Blue Economy initiatives: the high-tech incubator Incubazul and the most recent Blue Core, a 4.0 business incubator.

Gustavo Santana has signed the Book of Honor of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone and has been interested in the recent incorporations of innovative companies to the Cádiz tax area, which already reach almost thirty, in addition to the strategy to attract talent and promote entrepreneurship that the Consortium is carrying out.

After thanking the person in charge of the State ports for his visit, Fran González explained that he was "very satisfied by the interest aroused by our Blue Economy projects -Incubazul and Blue Core- in all the forums and entities linked to the sea, innovation and entrepreneurship, as is the case of State Ports. I have always insisted that we believe that it is of great importance to maintain a constant relationship, joint work and share synergies with public and private entities to promote the development of the Blue Economy and also the circular economy."

Gustavo Santana, for his part, thanked the Free Zone delegate for his initiatives and offered to share knowledge and experiences about the Blue Economy between both institutions, also highlighting the commitment of the state port system to sustainability and innovation. “as key factors of resilience in an environment of uncertainty and competitiveness”.
