The coordinator of Incubazul, Jose Manuel Fedriani, has participated in the Iberian Cross-border Biotechnology Pole on behalf of the Cádiz Consortium as a partner of the POCTEP IberoBio project
The Cádiz Free Zone Consortium, in its capacity as a partner of the POCTEP IberoBio project, has actively participated this week in the presentation day of the Iberian Cross-Border Biotechnology Pole, an event held at the Biopolo da Sionlla, the Innovative Services Center for Biotechnology Companies located in Santiago de Compostela, which lays the foundations for a powerful collaboration in the life sciences sector.
During the day, the associated entities of the Iberobio project presented the tools developed within the framework of this initiative. On behalf of the Cádiz Consortium, the coordinator of the Blue Economy incubator of the Free Zone of Cádiz, Incubazul, José Manuel Fedriani, presented to the biotechnology community a surveillance tool designed specifically for attracting financing. This platform is consolidated as a strategic resource by centralizing and continuously updating financing opportunities, both public and private in Spain and Portugal.
The tool allows biotech companies to quickly and efficiently locate the calls that best adapt to their needs, accelerating their access to capital and promoting R&D&I in the sector. Furthermore, it is especially adapted for pure biotechnology sectors and those with potential for biotech hybridization, identifying transversal synergies.
This initiative reinforces the commitment of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone Consortium with the innovation ecosystem and positions the Iberian Cross-Border Pole as a key player on the European biotechnology map. Interested people have all the information on biotech financing in the link https://iberobio.eu/financiacion-biotech/.
Along with the Consortium, other institutions have participated, such as the Vigo Free Trade Zone, which has promoted a training campus; BIOGA, the Galician Life Sciences Business Technology Cluster, which has presented a talent platform; Colab4food and BIOGA, with a platform of challenges and the Extremaura Science and Technology Park, FUNDECYT-PCTEX, with a map of resources.
It must be remembered that the POCTEP IberoBio project aims to consolidate the Iberian Cross-Border Biotechnology Pole as a reference in the biotech ecosystem. The presentation of these tools represents an important milestone in this strategy, providing the sector with collaborative infrastructures that enhance innovation, talent, training and financing. Note that the 0041_IBERO_BIO_6_E project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund FEDER within the framework of the Interreg VI A Spain – Portugal (POCTEP) 2021-2027 program.
From IberoBio, the presence and participation of all the attending companies was appreciated, emphasizing that their involvement and feedback are essential for the success of the project and to continue building an increasingly connected ecosystem.
