Delegate Fran González met with Carlos Aldereguía, to whom he presented the Consortium's projects and with whom he toured the new Base Zone building and the facilities of the Petaca Chico company.
The visit is the result of the contact initiated by both at the recent Conxemar Fair in Vigo, where the person in charge of the Cádiz Consortium held meetings with different institutions and companies.
The delegate of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, Fran González, received today at the Consortium's Headquarters the general director of Fisheries, Aquaculture and Blue Economy of the Junta de Andalucía, Carlos Aldereguía, after initiating contact at the last Conxemar 2025 Fair in Vigo, which both attended on behalf of their respective administrations.
During the meeting, González presented to the representative of the Andalusian Government the lines of work of the Free Trade Zone, the new industry 4.0 model, more innovative and committed to the environment, with actions such as the Blue Economy incubator, Incubazul, and the ZF Blue Core, the 4.0 business incubator, the new project being developed by the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz.
Precisely, the general director of Fisheries has also visited the Incubazul Base Zone, the recently inaugurated recycled maritime container building that will be the definitive headquarters of the incubator, an iconic construction, of great originality and an emblem of sustainability and entrepreneurship. Aldereguía has toured the building, which is located in the outer zone of the Free Trade Zone and aims to be a catalyst for the regeneration of this entire industrial area of the city of Cádiz.
Fran González explained to the general director of the Board the growing activity of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone and the recent implementation in the tax area of important innovative companies that are occupying the land occupied by the former Altadis, such as Dragados Offshore, adding that there is also growing interest in the installations of firms linked to the circular economy, the number of which already amounts to 80.
Carlos Aldereguía has been able to see the new building, inaugurated a month ago by the first vice president of the Government, María Jesús Montero, with Fran González, and has toured its state-of-the-art facilities, with large open and common spaces for the promotion of networking and the exchange of experiences, and has been able to verify the innovation and comfort that has been provided to this three-story building and the ground floor, which includes an auditorium for celebrations. events, coworking rooms, meeting and training rooms, offices and technology laboratory.
Carlos Aldereguía's visit was completed with a tour of the facilities that Petaca Chico has in the tax area of the Free Trade Zone. The Cádiz firm, a benchmark in wild almadraba bluefin tuna, has a total of 12,000 m2 of equipment in the Free Trade Zone.
Fran González thanked Carlos Aldereguía for his interest in the projects of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone and the ecosystem created around the Blue Economy.
