The delegate of the Free Zone of Cádiz and the rector of the University of Cádiz sign an agreement for the joint celebration of the Biennial event
The editions of this meeting in pairs will be done under the Blue Zone Forum innovazul seal
The BZF-Navalia Meeting has gathered more than sixty speakers, more than a thousand attendees to advance innovation in blue economy and naval construction
The Blue Zone Forum, the Blue Economy Forum sponsored by the Free Zone of Cádiz within its innovation strategy, will be held again next year from the University of Cádiz and will adopt the name Blue Zone Forum-Innovazul again. This will be possible thanks to the signing of an agreement in which the delegate of the Free Zone of Cádiz, Fran González; and the rector of the University of Cádiz, Casimiro Mantel.
In the document signed by both institutions, they commit to the joint celebration of this Congress in the peer years, with a biennial character, for a period of four expandable years.
In this way, continuity is given to the Blue Zone Forum Navalia Meeting, which has ended last week at the Palacio de Congresos and has gathered more than 60 speakers, more than a thousand participants and first -level companies of the blue economy and especially naval construction.
Odile Rodríguez de la Fuente was the first of the speakers, who starred in the opening conference, making an awareness of the effects of the hand of man on nature, as his father, the great disseminator Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente in the 70s, which he described as a true pioneer. The day was full of knowledge spaces for all tastes. Special interest aroused the table dedicated to the "marine renewable energies beyond wind."
This edition of Blue Zone has been endowed with a large cultural component and had a spectacular start with "Mar de Plata, deep blue" that put on the stage of the Palace of Congresses a scenic and plastic work created by the artist and academic Paco Pérez Valencia, of a deep poetic sensitivity. This cultural start, channeled through the alliance between Zona Franca de Cádiz and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Cádiz, has had as a central theme to "tell the oceans, dream life."
The writer and disseminator Elsa Punset, one of the most recognized voices in the field of emotional intelligence, was in charge of opening the second day of the Blue Zone Forum Navalia Meeting 2025 with a very entertaining speech that has made a call to be optimistic, to have a positive vision to feel better and improve our life. You have to protect our joy, ”he said.
Great capacity and intense in terms of round tables and specialized forums with varied themes such as marine wind and entrepreneurship, among others, on the second day. The naval clusters and entities of the sector throughout Spain have had an important space this day in which there was a lot of innovation and naval construction.
Finally, the economist and business referent Emilio Durado closed with his presentation the third edition of the international event and has given keys to strengthen entrepreneurship with proactive and positive attitude. In addition, the journalist Angels Barceló issued the program today of the SER live chain from the Palacio de Congresos de Cádiz.
The strong international presence has been noted in the event with participation in different tables of the president of the AZFA, Claudia Pellerano, the president of the Colombian entity Cotecmar or the Canada ambassador.
The delegate of the Free Zone, Fran González, has valued very positively this third edition of the event that has ended today, explaining that this forum “consolidates Cádiz as a blue economy pole with an ecosystem that offers the ideal conditions for the development and consolidation of startups and entrepreneurs”.
Fran González has added that “we have made it clear that the acceleration program of our incubator works, our startups work, some of them have been with us in the exhibitors zone and have participated in the exchange of knowledge and experiences, making it clear that our role is reinforced as our role as promoters of entrepreneurship and innovation in the framework of the new model of industry 4.0 of the Free Zone of Cádiz, whose central axis is the central axis.
