The Poctep Iberobio project brings together its partners and connects Biotech projects with investors in the Blue Zone Forum

The IberoBio project consortium has held its 13th partner meeting within the framework of the Blue Zone Forum, consolidating cross-border cooperation in biotechnology and highlighting the tools developed in the project.

During the meeting, the partners reviewed the actions carried out to date and worked on structuring the results with a view to their dissemination. In addition, the scheduling of upcoming events in Galicia was planned.
and Salamanca, and the Closing Day in Braga, which will serve as the culmination of this stage of joint work.

One of the key aspects discussed was the continuity of the IberoBio Network beyond the project, ensuring the updating and maintenance of its tools and exploring new financing opportunities that guarantee the sustainability of
cooperation in the Iberian biotech field.

In parallel, the IberoBio Financing Forum was held, a space designed to connect innovation with capital. During the morning of Thursday, September 25, seven entrepreneurial projects had the opportunity to present their business plans to various financing and venture capital entities, with the aim of attracting the necessary resources to undertake the first investments with guarantees and launch their business activities.

The seven entrepreneurial projects, coming from various sectors of the economy, stood out both for their high innovation potential and for the technical solvency of their human teams, made up of profiles from the field of university innovation and technology-based companies.

The participating companies considered the possibility of presenting their projects to investors and financial entities as of great interest, in addition to receiving recommendations to improve their business plans and strengthen their capacities to attract financing.

The companies NeutronInsights, Proa2Health, Inverbis, FlowReserve, Marisma Biomed, SeaBites Pet Care and Innovamar Tech participated in this forum, and also held bilateral meetings with investors, exploring new collaboration opportunities.

With this meeting, IberoBio reaffirms its role as a catalyst for innovation and competitiveness in the Euroregion, favoring the creation of synergies between science, business and investment and opening new avenues for the growth of the Iberian biotechnological ecosystem.
