The Blue Zone Forum Navalia Meeting 2025 will have a marked cultural component and an important international presence, in addition to giving coverage to a wide program of workshops, presentations, colloquiums, parallel activities and three great speakers: Odile Rodríguez de la Fuente, Elsa Punset and Emilio lasted. This has been revealed at a press conference the representatives of the two organizing entities of this edition, the delegate of the State in the Free Zone of Cádiz, Fran González, and the CEO of Navalia, Javier Arnau.
González and Arnau have informed of the latest news of the event, which is held at the Palacio de Congresos de Cádiz next week, specifically from September 24 to 26 and that will turn the Cadiz capital into an epicenter of the blue economy and naval construction, with innovation and entrepreneurship as key points, this year with the approach of a greater business weight contributed by Navalia.
One of the most important novelties is that this year the entire event will have a cultural component integrated and to channel the Free Zone has created an alliance with the Academy of Fine Arts of Cádiz that will lead to different cultural actions with the central theme of the seas and oceans.
Another novelty of this year will be the creation of the Blue Zone Forum Navalia Meeting Awards, which will recognize the work done by people and entities around the Blue Economy and the Naval Industry, which will be delivered on Thursday night and whose award represents a work by the Gaditana Marina Gadea artist.
The presentation of the 2025 edition of the Blue Zone Forum Navalia Meeting will be in charge of the well -known Mercedes Martín meteorologist, which will open the institutional inauguration and give way to the intervention of Odile Rodríguez de la Fuente and the other two star speakers in the following days. Another of the sections that will have its presence will be the Blue Women forum, a space dedicated exclusively to the presence of women in the blue economy sector, with which it is intended to give visibility to the important role that women have developed and develop in the blue sector and that this year will have as its central axis innovation.
It is important to highlight the international presence in the event with the assistance and active participation of representatives of the Association of Free Zones de las Américas (AZFA), with its president Claudia Perellano at the head, representatives of the Colombian government and of Cotecmar or the Canada ambassador in Spain.
In this line there will be two reverse missions within the framework of the Blue Zone Forum, one with the European Center for Companies and Innovation (CEEI) and another with Andalusia Trade, the entity of the Andalusia Board that promotes the activity linked to foreign trade.
The State delegate in the Free Zone of Cádiz, Fran González, explained that “the Blue Zone Forum is consolidating as a great forum of the blue economy, innovation and knowledge transfer and is demonstrated with the level of assistance that now already surround the 1,000 registered. We believe that it is important to go hand in hand with other public and private entities because the joint work makes us stronger”.
"The Ecosystem of Blue Economics, Innovation and Entrepreneurship that we are developing is enriched day by day and this type of meetings make it possible to concentrate knowledge, business fabric and create the ideal conditions for opportunities to arise and create synergies," he said.
The program will also have an outstanding program dedicated to industry and naval construction. In this sense, Javier Arnau emphasized the good moment that the sector is experiencing and that surely will be revealed at the round table dedicated to the regional clusters throughout Spain. Marine wind will also be the protagonist on Thursday, and on Friday the program will give way to the defense industry, the segment with more projection at this time for naval construction and will be attended by the Spanish Navy.
The Blue Zone Forum-Navalia Meeting 2025 is part of the ZF Blue Core-Vivero of Companies 4.0 project, financed by 85% by the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER) within the Plurirregional Operational Program of Spain Feder 2021-2027, through the INCyDE Foundation.
