The company of Ingeniería Pro Electronics Sur, S.A.U, Proelsur, will be installed shortly in the Atlas Building of the Fiscal Enclosure of the Free Zone of Cádiz, where it will begin operating from September, thus joining the innovative and technological ecosystem that is formed by the Cadiz consortium in the framework of its new model of industry 4.0, with sustainability and the circular economy also as a primary part.
Proelsur is an innovative firm with more than 35 years of experience with a consolidated staff of more than 150 workers who are distributed among their three work centers: in Cádiz, where the main headquarters, Castropol (Asturias) and Muskiz (Bizkaia) are located.
The company specialized in electrical engineering for the naval, industrial and energy sector and has a long trajectory providing services to the most important national and international shipyards. They also develop Electrical, Energy and Conceptual Automation projects projects and are closely linked to the offshore industry, both civil and military.
The needs of this company for its growth in recent years has made the facilities in the province, which until now were located in Puerto Real, move to the Gaditano fiscal enclosure, where they will have a total of 269 m2 for their technical office and direction, largely improving their operation by location and proximity with other companies in the naval and technology and innovation sector.
Precisely Proelsur has an R&D department whose main activity focuses on the application of new technologies and the creation of new manufacturing and design methods that allow to respond more effectively to market demands and increase competitiveness.
The State delegate in the Free Zone of Cádiz, Fran González, highlighted “the added value that involves incorporating a new engineering company, which adds to the 24 already existing in Free Zone linked to technological and innovative projects and the 80 firms that are related to the circular economy”.
"The one that companies of this type are attracted to our facilities gives good shows that our 4.0 industry model is working and our ecosystem is enriched day by day, generating an activity and synergies that benefit not only the companies already installed but also the startups and entrepreneurs of our entire area of influence," added Fran González.
The delegate explained that "it is important to point out that an innovative environment is being created in the lands of the former Altadis, with companies linked to technology and circular economy, which have already occupied 71% of the spaces and develop an important and very attractive activity for potential customers."
The Free Zone of Cádiz incorporates a new company into the innovative ecosystem that is being formed around the new industry model, to the Blue Economy, Incubazul incubator, and the new ZF Blue Core project, a 4.0 Companies nursery linked to the blue economy that complements and gives continuity to Incubazul.
