Free zone of Cádiz and marine marine cluster of Andalusia alienated to boost the blue economy and entrepreneurship

The delegate of the Consortium, Fran González, accompanied by his management team, has shown the president of the Andalusian cluster the activity of the Free Zone and its companies and the projects in development

Both entities will create a mixed commission for the coordination and monitoring of the actions initiated and those planned

The State delegate in the Free Zone of Cádiz, Fran González, and the president of the Marine Marine Cluster of Andalusia, Javier Noriega, have signed today at the facilities of the Cadiz Consortium a protocol of action through which both entities will collaborate to boost the projects linked to the Blue Economy and the innovative entrepreneurship.

Fran González has received Javier Noriega at the headquarters, who has known the facilities of the Free Zone of Cádiz, the activity of the companies that operate in it and the projects that are being developed, especially the Incubator of Blue Economics, Incubazul, and the ZF Blue Core, the nursery of companies 4.0 also linked to initiatives of blue economy.

According to the signed protocol, Zona Franca and CMMA will work together to give visibility to the projects lodged in both Incubazul and ZF Blue Core and will establish synergies for the collection of talent that can fruit in initiatives that meet the criteria of adhesion to the Incubazul acceleration program. For this, a mixed commission will be created that will be in charge of the coordination and monitoring of all the actions, both those initiated and those that are launched.

The alliance between Zona Franca and Cluster Andaluz also contemplates the study of joint formulas for the organization of Networking events to make visible projects and companies. They will also work together in the analysis, identification and evaluation of innovative initiatives linked to the blue economy that can be consolidated as companies.

The protocol sealed today is the product of previous contacts between the two entities, such as the meeting held by both earlier this month when the State delegate, Fran González, accompanied by his management team visited the cluster facilities in Malaga.

During that meeting, both organizations agreed to strengthen their relationship, taking into account that the CMMA consists of innovative Andalusian companies of different maritime subsectors and with a common vision: the blue economy.

It must be remembered that the Cadiz incubator and the ecosystem created around it has already received different recognitions, one of which was precisely the 2023 Proa Prize awarded by the marine marine cluster of Andalusia, which rewarded Incubazul for his great work as an institution, his career and contribution to the blue entrepreneurship in Andalusia. The PROA awards recognize the contribution of institutions, companies, entities and people in the promotion, development, growth and knowledge of the blue economy in Andalusia, as well as the humanitarian, research, technological, cultural, innovative and sustainable work in the maritime-marine field of our community.

The Free Zone of Cádiz thus takes another step in the work it is developing to ensure that the province is the great pole of the blue economy, reinforcing the ecosystem created around the acceleration program of its highly innovative incubazul incubator, a program through which a hundred startups have already passed and to which the ZF Blue Core has added, the nursery of companies 4.0 Incubazul

Fran González has highlighted "the importance of weaving alliances with public and private entities that work around the blue economy in order not to let the existing entrepreneurial talent escape. Together we can help the impulse of entrepreneurship and that ideas become a reality that reduces economic activity and employment."
