The incubator of the Free Zone of Cádiz also occupies an outstanding place and has climbed on in the global list of the Top10 of Funcas, placing the fourth of Spain in preincubation
The study detailed the national ecosystem and identifies the best practices in nurseries and accelerators of companies recognized as sector leaders
To prepare the ranking, 99 nurseries and 57 business accelerators from all over Spain have been analyzed, 24 more than those examined for the 2024 study
The blue economy incubator of the Free Zone of Cádiz, Incubazul, is consolidated as one of the best incubators in Spain and as the first of Andalusia, according to the 2025 ranking of nursery and company accelerators prepared by the foundation of the savings ban Ranking of 2024, to which 24 less attended.
The incubator of the Gaditano consortium continues to stand out as the first of Andalusia, followed by the technoincubadora Marie Curie of Seville; the aeronautical technology transfer incubator, also from Seville; the CEEI Bahía de Cádiz, from El Puerto de Santa María; Alma Natura, from Arroyomolinos de León in Huelva; the nursery of companies Alhaurín de la Torre in Malaga; the Municipal Center for Business Initiatives of Granada; and the nursery of Business Park Jerez de la Frontera, also in Cádiz.
The participation in this Top 10 of Funcas has been higher than last year when 91 nurseries and 41 business accelerators were analyzed, which shows that the presence of this type of entities maintains its consolidation and sedimentation throughout the entire Spanish geography, highlighting in the global ranking the community of Aragon that has taken the first place to Galicia.
Incubazul, who already enjoys a renowned prestige in national and international forums and has obtained awards such as the Proa prize of the Andalusian maritime cluster, the Jose Antonio Rodríguez Poch 2024 award and was a finalist of the Europe awards, not only stands in the first position of the Andalusian ranking but also has climbed on in the national top 10 and has achieved the fourth place of Spain in the fourth place of Spain Preincubación, phase in which last year the 9th position occupied the pre -incubation phase is one in which the accelerator makes technical support and tools available to the entrepreneur in the framework of the acceleration program and suppose a valuable guide for the entrepreneur, when it is looking to profile its business idea, define its business model and validate it in the market.
It is important to note that the incubator of the free zone is rising in the list and its consolidation as one of the best in Spain is also reflected in the basic incubation section, where it is located in the number 9. It has also advanced to the number 11 in the global ranking, when in 2024 it was in the 20th position, all this taking into account that the analysis encompasses a total of 156 entities.
The State delegate in the Free Zone of Cádiz, Fran González, highlighted the importance of being the first business incubator at the Andalusian level. "The first of Andalusia in a ranking as important as this shows that Incubazul and the entire ecosystem that we have created around it is working and our work for accompanying and promoting the creation of companies is doing well."
González has added that “we must also highlight the fact that we are nationally fourths in the pre -incubation phase, the training process in which entrepreneurs is accompanied in the initial definition of their business project by providing them with all the support. We have always highlighted the importance of bringing to light the enormous innovative talent we have around us and this reflects that we put a large part of our effort in it”.
According to the Ranking Funcas 2025, the promoters of the nurseries are mostly public entities, while the accelerators have their origins in the private sphere although a change of tendency begins to observe in recent years. 95% of nurseries have as its goal the creation of employment and 81.8% aims to create viable companies.
Funcas is an analysis center dedicated to economic and social research and its dissemination, promoting the interaction between the academic sphere and the real economy. It is part of the social work of CECA. Funcas has been, for many years, a reference in the field of economic forecasts and in the analysis of Spanish public policies and the European Union.
