The State delegate in the Free Zone of Cádiz, Fran González, has received today at the Consortium facilities to a Moroccan delegation from the city of Agadir, in the Sauss Massa region, which is part of the reverse mission in Cádiz organized by the Port Authority of the Bay of Cádiz and that is being held in the city until tomorrow.
Forty -five people, among institutional and business representatives, are participating in the meeting that has as its main objective to recover the maritime connection between Cádiz and Morocco. Among the participants in the mission are the president of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Sauss Massa, Said Dor; the general consul of the Kingdom of Morocco in Algeciras, Driss Saussi; the president of the Souss-Massa Regional Section, General Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Morocco, Driss Boutti; The vice president of the Municipal Council of Agadir, Abdallah Boulghmail and Mohammed Oudmine, vice president of the Regional Council of Sauss Massa.
The mission began yesterday with the official inauguration at the APBC headquarters and which was attended by the delegate of the Free Zone, who welcomed the attendees and highlighted the importance of Moroccan Spanish collaboration. The opening ceremony also had the intervention of the mayor of the city of Cádiz, Bruno García; the first vice president of the Provincial Council of Cádiz, Juan José Ortiz; and the Government delegate of the Board in Cádiz, Mercedes Colombo.
The Delegation of Morocco has attended a presentation in the auditorium of the Heracles building of the Free Zone, where the delegate of the Consortium has reviewed the projects that the Cadiz institution and its activity are underway, in addition to knowing first -hand the activity of companies such as Petaca Chico and Cayco.
The delegate of the Free Zone has explained to the attendees the details of the new model of industry 4.0 implemented by the consortium, with its decarbonization plan, the startup incubator and the new ZF Blue Core project, the nursery of companies 4.0 that gives continuity and complements incubazul.
Fran González, who has insisted on the importance of collaboration between administrations and companies in one country, has accompanied Moroccan representatives in the visit they have made to the Logistics Operator Cayco, one of the traditional companies of Free Zone, of long experience and that operates nationally and internationally, especially in activity linked to foreign trade.
Another of the companies that the Moroccan delegation has known has been Petaca Chico, a leading company installed in the Gaditano fiscal enclosure that has recently expanded its production and that has 12,000 m2 of space in facilities in the Free Zone. The visit has been able to verify how this company is committed to innovation and diversification and also has different product lines, such as cooked octopus, swordfish, yellow fin tuna or its line of canned and salty, where the sea ham stands out, thrown into the market several years ago with chef Ángel León.
The delegate of Zona Franca has highlighted the importance of this type of meetings and missions, since "it offers us the possibility of establishing contacts and promoting the Cádiz brand and our fiscal enclosures, that of Cádiz and that of the Bay of Algeciras, with the saving of costs that supposes to have customs and fiscal advantages." Fran González added that "our fiscal enclosure has an experience of almost a century, in addition to a privileged location, a city like Cádiz that is a natural entrance door with the neighboring country."
