This has been ratified by the State delegate in the Free Zone of Cádiz, Fran González, and those responsible for the firm, Jose del Corral and Rafael de Aquino with the signing of the land lease contract that will link the company with the fiscal enclosure for two decades, in which the director of Business Promotion and Foreign Trade, Marta Domínguez, was also present.
The plant that Dreexo Energy will build, which will involve an investment of 27 million euros, will have a space for storage of raw materials of 28,400 m3 and for storage of biofuels of 56,800 m3. In addition, in its construction, all sustainability and innovation parameters will be assumed, which will once again strengthen the commitment to the new model of industry 4.0 of the Cadiz consortium, which has already had relevant additions in the innovation sector and the circular economy such as Electam, Rospa, Quest Global or Capgemini, to mention some. In fact there are already 24 companies installed in the Gaditano fiscal enclosure related to innovative projects and 80 those linked to the circular economy.
The works will begin in the first quarter of 2026 and during the same will be created from 100 to 200 jobs. Once the activity is underway, whose beginning is scheduled for the end of 2026, the company will generate 50 qualified jobs, especially FP2 engineers and technicians.
The activity that will be generated around this new company, which uses highly innovative technological processes and with non -polluting measures committed to the environment, is located in the line of the 4.0 industry that advocates the Free Zone of Cádiz and at the same time adds to the reactivation process of the area of the old Altadis, which with the arrival of Electam, Rospa and Dragados.
Dreexo Energy is a company specialized in the treatment and storage of double -computing fatty materials for the production of second generation fuels, which implements advanced technology to guarantee zero waste in the processes, creating a positive impact aligned with the climatic objectives of the European Union.
Second generation biofuels occur from biomass and other raw materials encompassed in Annex 4 of RD 1197/2011, animals or vegetables that are not used for food, which differentiates them from first -generation biofuels, which do use food as a base. Second generation biofuels offer advantages such as the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and the promotion of the circular economy by taking advantage of waste.
All this makes possible the reduction of emission and greenhouse gases, while taking advantage of waste that could otherwise go to landfills, contributing to the decarbonization of transport, also according to the line of work that the Free Zone of Cádiz is currently developing with its decarbonization plan launched within its strategy, consisting of the analysis and registration of the carbon footprint and in the mitigation and mitigation of carbon and in the mitigation of the carbon.
During the presentation of the company, the special delegate of the State for the Free Zone of Cádiz, Fran González, has highlighted the important work carried out by the Free Zone team and especially by the commercial area, since it has managed to convince a company with a project of this draft to generate its energy hub in Cádiz. "It is an industry that, not only will generate wealth and more than a hundred jobs during its construction and a half in its development, but also align perfectly with all the strategy we are developing in sustainable and responsible industry, so that we reaffirm ourselves in which we are on the right path in terms of innovation and vision of the future."
In the words of José del Corral, “establishing the double -computing and storage of biofuel Africa, strengthening Cádiz's position as an energy hub of reference, based on the circular economy. implantation and growth ”.
Seven out of ten altadis spaces already have activity
With the arrival of this company to develop its activity in the fiscal enclosure of Cádiz, the marketing of the lands of the old Altadis factory is consolidated, which, upon the arrival of the management team to the free zone, were not only wasteful but in an important state of neglect.
The commitment to these spaces, the only ones free of the fiscal enclosure, have required both an investment commitment to the gradual recovery of equipment and commercial reinforcement convincing companies that it could become an important economic and industrial forum.
Thus, it has gone from having spaces of more than 150,000 square meters of inactive industrial land and without marketing visos, to occupy seven out of ten meters of this plot. Thus, the work of the commercial department has managed to attract the Civil Guard, which has its maritime group of the Strait and Center for the Improvement of Maritime Service in the one known as the Cross building (2,517 meters2); to which Rospa (2,120 m2), Electam (3,688m2), Dragados Offshore (13,500 m2) and the latest incorporation of Dreexo Energy (51,167m2) that is installed in the plots that remained after the dismantling of mechanized warehouses that took place in 2020.
