The representation of the Free Zone of Cádiz that participates in Colombiamar 2025, with the State delegate, Fran González, in front, yesterday attended the inauguration of this international fair, the largest in Latin America dedicated to the naval industry and construction and that congregates in Cartagena de Indias to representatives from 30 countries, including actors of the global naval industry, such as shipyards, maritime technology suppliers, defense agencies and companies of logistics, among others.
In this scenario, Fran González, accompanied by the Director of Business Promotion and Foreign Trade, Marta Domínguez, and the coordinator of Incubazul, Jose Manuel Fedriani, in addition to Jose Luis García Zaragoza, president of the Naval Maritime Cluster of Cádiz, maintained an intense agenda of contacts with national and international companies and entities to share experiences and knowledge of the sector and exchange innovative and technological project The framework of the blue economy, strengthening commercial links and opportunities for internationalization.
During the first day of Colombiamar, the Cadiz delegation visited the stands of the companies Frizonia, Ghenova and Navalia, with which the consortium already maintains a close collaboration by jointly organizing next month the ‘Blue Zone Forum-Navalia Meeting’.
In addition, in Colombiamar 2025 the Free Zone of Cádiz plans to maintain contacts with the National Association of Entrepreneurs of Colombia (ANDI), the largest in the country and that has more than 1,400 affiliates that represent between 50 and 55% of the national GDP.
The objective is to continue promoting the work of the Free Zone of Cádiz with the Colombian free zones, which are weaving strong collaboration ties that project a promising future to undertake joint projects, in addition to continuing to strengthen the internationalization of Gaditanas companies, such as for example Surcontrol and Frizonia present at the fair, to explore and advance synergies and possible collaborations that generate opportunities on both side of the Atlantic.
The line of work raised from Andi is the value of alliances between Colombian companies and Spanish companies and, especially, Cadiz for the common business tradition and the interrelation and the existing framework of collaboration in tax matters between the two countries that allow to take the most benefit of these business relations in an international economic market so tensioning currently.
Colombiamar 2025 is an International Fair of the Naval and Maritime Industry that is taking place from March 12 to 14, which expects the arrival of at least 5,000 visitors and is organized by Cotecmar - Colombian State Company of Defense, Naval Construction and Engineering - in collaboration with the National Navy and other entities of the sector. The meeting is key to companies, governments and institutions and is an ideal scenario to show the advance of the naval industry, the development of innovative solutions in the maritime field and promote commercial contacts in international markets.
