The Free Trade Zone of Cádiz will invest 23 million euros for projects throughout the province

The State delegate, Fran González, has offered the balance of 2024 at the traditional Christmas breakfast and has reported on the great positive turn taken by the Consortium since 2020

The management of this team has made it possible to cancel 74 million of the debt found in the Consortium, which represents almost half of the total amount

The commercial dynamism and the attraction of new projects has improved annual turnover by 600,000 euros

All these management pillars put the Cádiz Consortium in a situation that allows it to draw a good investment outlook for the coming years.

One of the main actions will be the ZF Blue Core, the 4.0 incubator that will complement and reinforce the work of Incubazul and also has the support of Europe for its development

The Free Trade Zone of Cádiz has planned an investment of 23 million euros in projects for the entire province for next year 2025. This was stated by the State delegate, Fran González, at the traditional Christmas breakfast with the media that took place this morning at the Headquarters of the Cádiz Consortium.

This figure represents a very significant increase in the investment that the Cádiz Institution has made in this year 2024, the amount of which was 4 million euros. This large increase is due to the 180-degree turn given to management since 2020 and by the fulfillment more than and before the stipulations of the 2021-2025 Viability Plan, self-imposed when Fran González arrived in the Free Trade Zone.

The improvement has been substantial and has had an impact on the Consortium's coffers thanks to the milestones of 2024, such as the reduction of the organization's total debt by 74 million euros, the commercial dynamism, with 18 new contracts and which has led to the incorporation of important companies, especially innovative ones such as Elecam, Rospa or Capgemini and more recently Dragados Offshore, in addition to the increase in the annual turnover of the Consortium by more than 600,000 euros.

Another strong point in the improvement of the Consortium's accounts has been the increase in income from corporate tax, which this year has been triple the average of the last 5 years. This is an improvement in itself and an important economic injection, but above all it is a symptom that an economic dynamism is occurring in the Free Zone that results not only in investments and projects but also in an improvement in infrastructure and services to users. clients and companies in general.

Once the self-imposed Viability Plan has been completed, which has acted simultaneously in the financial area, in asset management and in marketing, work is being done on the implementation of the 2025-2030 Strategic Plan. For now, the large increase in investments planned for next year already predicts a positive horizon with new projects in perspective and the new industry 4.0 model of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, sustainable, committed and with the central axis of the Economy Blue.

Among the new projects, we must highlight the ZF Blue Core, which also has the support of Europe like Incubazul and is also linked to the Blue Economy, technology and innovation. With an investment of 10.3 million euros, it is a 4.0 incubator, 85% co-financed by Feder Funds, which aims to complement the incubator by generating the blue economy pole in southern Europe.

Also worth highlighting in the new Free Trade Zone industry model is the Decarbonization Plan launched in collaboration with Tragsa and UCA to achieve a sustainable future free of emissions. This plan, composed of three phases (calculation of the carbon footprint, registration and mitigation and compensation) will consolidate the industry 4.0 model once implemented.

Fran González has presented a situation with a clear economic horizon and has expressed excitement about the year ahead, with interesting projects and improvements in infrastructure and in the Consortium's spaces throughout the province.

The delegate of the Free Trade Zone has had words of praise for the work being carried out in the Incubazul incubator, the central axis of the new strategy, whose acceleration program is serving as a model and example in different national and international forums. “Incubazul is an incubation model that works through which 100 startups have already gone through, with a 90% survival rate and a third of which are already making money.” Fran González also referred to the recent celebration of the Blue Zone Forum-Innovazul 2024, held in collaboration with the UCA and CEI-Mar, a success in terms of exchange of knowledge and audience with more than 1,500 attendees.”

The person in charge of the Consortium has concluded the balance by thanking the work and effort made by all the workers of the Consortium, the companies and the incubator in a year full of events such as the celebration of the 95th anniversary of the Free Trade Zone and the recent 25th Anniversary of Documentary Services.
