A concert by the UCA orchestra open to all citizens closes the commemoration of the 95 years of the Free Trade Zone

The Orchestra of the University of Cádiz, under the direction of Juan Manuel Pérez Madueño, will musically recreate the era in which the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz was born, with a selection of music that was played in Cádiz at the beginning of the last century

The Orchestra of the University of Cádiz (UCA) will perform this Sunday, October 6, under the direction of Juan Manuel Pérez Madueño, in a concert that will be held at the Cádiz Congress Palace starting at 7:00 p.m., within the framework of the events of the 95th Anniversary of the Cádiz Free Zone that is being commemorated in 2024. This is a concert open to all citizens who want to attend, for which you must download the tickets at the link https://www.eventbrite.com/e/entradas-concierto-95oaniversario-zona-franca-de-cadiz-1027976424157

The event that closes the celebration of the anniversary has a beautiful anthropological motive since it is about recreating the music that was played in Cádiz and in Spain just at the time when the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz was born, in 1929, with a detailed selection of rhythms and songs that sounded in Cádiz at the beginning of the last century and that delighted the society of the time.

The Free Trade Zone of Cádiz has organized this event to put the finishing touch to the series of actions that have been carried out throughout the year to commemorate the 95 years of History of the Cádiz Institution, closely linked to the history of the city of Cádiz and that of Cádiz society.

The Free Zone opened last June, coinciding with the date of its name day on June 11, the commemorative events of its 95th anniversary with a lunch celebrated with the workforce. Another action has consisted of the recording and broadcast of a radio serial in the form of a podcast, which Zona Franca has developed with Radio Cádiz and which takes a tour through the history of the Zona Franca of Cádiz in a fictional way.

In addition to the central event held last Friday at the Congress Palace, which was attended by the first vice president of the Government, María Jesús Montero, the 95 years of life of the Institution have also been present throughout this summer in an exhibition in the Plaza San Juan de Dios, made in collaboration with Diario de Cádiz.
