The company has submitted an offer for these spaces, which are receiving a great response from the business community due to their unbeatable location, and has obtained a favorable report from the Contracting Board for their award.
Fran González values the arrival of this firm as another important boost to the development of the productive fabric of this area of the old Altadis, which already has companies such as Rospa and Elecam
The Dragados Offshore company will expand its facilities in the Bay of Cádiz with 13,500 m2 in the tax area of the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz, in what is known as PPL of the former Altadis tobacco company, after having submitted an offer for these spaces days ago and which has obtained the favorable report from the Contracting Board for its award.
This incorporation represents a very important step for the revitalization of this area, which in recent months has seen the arrival of other companies such as Rospa and Elecam, as a result of the strong marketing push by the Free Zone.
Dragados' choice of the Cádiz tax precinct has been significantly influenced by the unbeatable location, right in front of its current facilities in Bajo de La Cabezuela, in Puerto Real. In fact, these lands are receiving an important response from the business community due to their unbeatable location, with easy access to land and sea communication routes.
The new facility, which was previously occupied by the logistics company LTK and is expected to be operational at the beginning of next year, will undergo renovation works to adapt it to the company's needs.
Zona Franca de Cádiz will carry out the adaptation work, with an amount of more than 170,000 euros, which will consist of different works to repair leaks, patching and painting facades, fine-tuning of doors and loading docks, replacement of different elements and a complete set-up of the electrical installation.
The State delegate, Fran González, has valued the incorporation of Dragados to the Consortium's facilities as “great news that contributes to revitalizing the productive fabric of that area and reflects the enhancement of the entire set of facilities in the area that “It belonged to the old tobacco factory.”
“We are promoting the marketing and enhancement of all our facilities, with special efforts in this area to place it at the same level as the rest of the tax area, whose occupancy is around 100%. And our work is already giving results with the arrival of large companies like Dragados and innovative companies like Elecam or Rospa that in recent months have joined our facilities and have joined our new industry 4.0 model,” said Fran González. .
In recent months, commercial activity in the area of the Cádiz tax precinct that belonged to Altadis has registered a great boost. To the leasing of the so-called cross building by the Civil Guard to house the Strait Maritime Group and the Maritime Service Improvement Center, we must add the more recent arrival of technological firms such as Rospa and Elecam.
Components and Services Rospa, an expert in engineering with a technological base and dedicated to the manufacture of elements and structures for renewable energy, has installed itself in a 2,120 m2 warehouse to develop an element called Solar Box, a product for optimization in generation and treatment of photovoltaic energy.
For its part, Elecam Group, an electrical supplies, engineering and industrial services company, signed the lease contract in May for the International Palletizing Center (CPI), a 3,688 m2 facility to locate what will be its headquarters. .
These additions not only contribute to the recovery of productive spaces in the Fiscal Area but also continue the line of attracting innovation and new technology companies from the Free Zone within its model of generating a sustainable and responsible industry and economy.
