The Free Trade Zone of Cádiz attends the conference organized by the APBA and Tangier Med in Casablanca

The Consortium's commercial team has taken advantage of the meeting to promote the tax precincts of Cádiz and the Bay of Algeciras in the neighboring country and strengthen institutional relations

The Free Trade Zone already visited Morocco last November and made useful contacts, awakening the interest of companies and logistics operators, especially from the agri-food sector.

The commercial team of the Cádiz Free Zone has been present this week in Casablanca at the conference organized by the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras (APBA) together with Tangier Med and the Moroccan Exporters Association (ASMEX) to present and analyze the Tangier-Algeciras logistics chain and in which relevant professionals from the port and logistics sector have met, as well as a large representation of the main institutions linked to foreign trade, such as Spanish and Moroccan chambers of commerce and ICEX, with whom the Zone Franca already maintains a close bond.

The Cádiz Consortium has taken advantage of the attendance at this event, which has had the presence of experts in logistics and foreign trade from both countries, to hold meetings and present the assets and equipment that the Free Trade Zone has throughout the province, with the objective to attract investments in a country like Morocco and a continent, Africa, that is in the process of economic expansion.

The day was inaugurated by the president of the Port Authority of Tangier Med, Hassan Abkari; the president of the APBA, Gerardo Landaluce; the president of the Moroccan Exporters Association, Hassan Sentissi; and the ambassador of Spain in Morocco, Enrique Ojeda.

The opening of the business meeting was carried out by the economic and commercial advisor of Spain in Rabat, Odón Pálla Sagües, who offered a speech on the integration of the value chain between Spain and Morocco. Three round tables were then held with representatives of companies and experts from both countries who presented their points of view and highlighted the importance of cooperation and the close commercial relationship between Spain and Morocco.

The Cádiz Free Trade Zone, highly valued for its location and natural entry and exit door to the African continent, has already reaffirmed its contacts with Moroccan operators and companies during the trade mission carried out recently, in the month of November, when the commercial team traveled to Tangier, Rabat and Casablanca, presenting the two tax precincts that the Free Trade Zone has in the province to different firms linked to foreign trade, especially in the agri-food sector, which were very interested in the facilities and strategic location of the precincts. Cádiz.

This new trip to Morocco and attendance at the conference in Casablanca have led to numerous contacts and has allowed the commercial team of the Cádiz Institution to learn first-hand about the way large operators work.
