The company Capgemini expands its project in the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz

The technology company today unveiled its Intelligent Industry Lab, a strategic innovation laboratory for the transformation of industry 4.0 located in a warehouse in the Europa building.

Subsequently, the Agora of Incubazul hosted the presentation event, where the Consortium delegate, Fran González, congratulated the company that operates in the tax area with 250 workers.

With the expansion of Capgemini, Zona Franca confirms its commitment to innovation, with 20 technology companies already consolidated and operating in the tax area and adding almost 600 jobs

The innovative company Capgemini presented this morning in the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz its Intelligent Industry Lab, a strategic innovation laboratory for the transformation of industry 4.0 that uses the latest disruptive technologies, such as the cloud, artificial intelligence, internet of things. , edge computing and 5G.

With the presentation event held today at the Agora of Incubazul, Capgemini reinforces its presence in the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz since its current facilities are in the Europa Building of the tax precinct and the Intelligent Industry Lab occupies one of the warehouses of that same equipment , which those attending the event were able to visit. Currently, 250 people work in the Capgemini offices in the tax area.

The firm, a world leader that offers services to transform and manage businesses taking advantage of the power of technology, is a multinational corporation of technology consulting services with a highly innovative approach, which has nearly 360,000 professionals, 11,000 of them in Spain and They are present in more than 50 countries.

The delegate of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, Fran González, closed the presentation event and congratulated the company's managers, explaining that the installation of companies such as Capgemini confirms the attractiveness of the Consortium and its commitment to high technology and innovation and for a change in the industry model.

“From Zona Franca we have given a twist to the traditional industrial model and we are working to promote innovative projects with a fundamental axis that is our Blue Economy incubator, whose facilities serve as the stage precisely for this event. Incubazul has 80 startups in its program, 80 innovative projects, a third of which are already billing and consolidating,” she stated.

Fran González added that “we are working to create the ideal ecosystem that strengthens us as a focus of innovation and we are rewarded by seeing how day by day our commitment to a new industry model, more innovative, more technological, more sustainable and committed, grows and is consolidated in the Free Trade Zone.”

It should be noted that the Cádiz Free Zone is promoting a committed, sustainable and innovative industry model and this work is already bearing fruit and 20 companies linked to technological projects already operate in the tax area, employing 576 people.
