The exhibition 'Cádiz, the sea and talent: sources of the Blue Economy' reflects the close link of the province with its seas as a way of life

The exhibition was inaugurated today in the Plaza San Juan de Dios and is part of the parallel activities to the Blue Zone Forum that is held at the Palacio de Congresos on November 29 and 30

The delegate of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, Fran González, today inaugurated the exhibition 'Cádiz, the sea and talent: sources of the Blue Economy', an exhibition that is a clear reflection of the close link between the province of Cádiz and its two seas, the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, and the way of life of the citizens of Cádiz, which since ancient times has been conditioned by its coast and maritime activity.

At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, located in the Plaza San Juan de Dios next to the fountain and which is part of the activities parallel to the Blue Zone Forum held by the Zona Franca on November 29 and 30, Fran González has been accompanied by the mayor of Cádiz, Bruno García, and the general director of the Joly Group, Tomás Valiente, as well as other institutional and business representatives.

The exhibition, which is made up of 21 panels and will remain open until December 3, highlights the importance of the Blue Economy in the province of Cádiz, recreates the opportunities that the sea offers in this land and the way in which it is channeling them. the high-tech incubator in the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz, Incubazul, which has already become a benchmark in the sector with an ecosystem of 71 incubated projects.

It also offers detailed information about the startups that are part of Incubazul, many of them in the process of consolidation since a third of the startups that are being accelerated are already billing. The success rate of the acceleration model is 34.8%, a rate higher than other similar experiences and represents effective support for the ideas of the people who undertake, the great work of the team of mentors in advising and making good use of what the companies in the acceleration program do.

Incubazul has the support of the European Union, which co-finances it, through the Incyde Foundation, of the Spanish Chambers of Commerce, 80% by the ERDF within the Pluriregional Operational Program 2014-2020 within axis 3: Improve competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises and investment priority 3. Promotion of entrepreneurship, in particular, facilitating the economic exploitation of new ideas, and promoting the creation of new companies, also through incubators.

The exhibition inaugurated today, organized in collaboration with the Joly Group and the Cádiz City Council, is part of the program of the Blue Zone Forum, the great event of the Blue Economy that will turn Cádiz into the epicenter of the blue sector on the 29th and 30th November. The forum will bring together national and international experts and great figures in this field such as Gunter Pauli, Ángel León or Theresa Zabell, among others.
