The State delegate in the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, Fran González, received this morning at the Headquarters a delegation of Latin American businessmen, made up of representatives of logistics operators from different countries linked to international markets, as well as those responsible for the Zone. Franca Perico, Jujuy, in Argentina and the Las Américas Free Trade Zone, in Colombia.

This international mission has been promoted by PTP Group and is part of the collaboration protocol signed in September between the Cádiz Free Zone and the Santafesina Free Zone located in the Argentine province of Santa Fe, which included, among other things, the promotion of the spaces of both entities.

Specifically, they have visited the facilities of the Cádiz tax facility Julio González Acosta, of the Daabon Group, a Colombian company dedicated to the worldwide production of palm oil, bananas and tropical fruits, being the world's leading producer of organic palm oil; Pablo Santos, from Gruppe Heinlein, an Argentine logistics company; Dinno Nanni, from Port to Port, an international marketer focused on food products; and Sonia Leis and Belén Castro, managers of the Perico Free Trade Zone, Jujuy, specialized in services for lithium production and mining. All of them have been accompanied by the head of PTP Group in Spain, Diego Nieves; by Lisandro Ganuza, from The World Free Zones Organization; and by the president of APEMAR, the association of maritime businessmen of Cádiz, Bernardino Copano.

The international delegation began the visit at the Headquarters where Fran González explained details about the activity of the tax facility and its close and historical connection with Latin America, informing them about ongoing and future projects. Subsequently, they visited the facilities of the Incubazul incubator, where they learned about the project and the good progress of the hosted startups.

Latin American operators have been very interested in the traditional activity and location of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone with its two strategically located tax precincts and large ports that support them due to their proximity. In the same way, they have deeply analyzed the high-tech incubator project and the new sustainable industrial model of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, with the Blue Economy as the main axis.

The delegate Fran González has valued the visit very positively and has pointed out that “this type of commercial missions are very positive for the search for potential clients and investors. This meeting makes visible the protocol that we signed very recently, in September, and that we hope will materialize in other similar trade missions that enrich our commercial activity."

The visit is the first after the protocol signed in September, which signed an alliance that was forged during the trade mission carried out by Fran González and his management team in June to Argentina. That trip included a visit to the PTP Group facilities in the Santa Fe Free Trade Zone that served to strengthen ties with the logistics operator, which is developing an important project for its implementation at the La Cabezuela dock in the Cadiz municipality of Puerto Real.

Precisely, the signed protocol contemplates collaboration and joint work for the promotion of investments, the promotion of commercial exchange, information and advice for the benefit of companies installed in both free zones, in addition to promoting joint participation in fairs, business trips and other commercial events.

Another important point is the carrying out of promotional work within the framework of the European Union-Mercosur agreement to improve the Free Trade Zone brand in general and for these facilities to be recognized as entities that promote investment, are job generators and engines of sustainable development. .

The joint work of the Cádiz Free Zone and the Santafesina Free Zone will be complemented by the establishment of a single window, in which users from both countries or projects interested in one of the two free zones can obtain information, assistance and support. when they require it.
