Cadiz, October 16, 2022

The Free Trade Zone of Cádiz has signed with the private security company Cofer Seguridad the purchase and sale contract by which this company will install itself on the plot that the Cádiz Consortium has in the Poniente Business Park, next to the tax precinct of the capital and very close to a well-known park for children's parties and celebrations.

The plot has an area of 509 m2 and a buildable area of 1,000 m2 and the company will build a two-story facility that will house the company's delegation in Cádiz to serve staff and clients in the western area. A training center and the company's future alarm center will also be located in this new facility, in a location of great value as it is a busy urban area, with a high population density and in a highly visible space from the accesses to Cádiz.

The company anticipates that the new delegation, whose investment will be around 1.2 million euros, can be operational in the first quarter of 2024 and will employ nearly 200 people including security guards, technicians and office staff.

The State delegate in the Free Trade Zone, Fran González, explained that "with this purchase and sale operation the development of the land in the Poniente Business Park culminates since this was the only plot that was available in this industrial space next to the tax precinct."

González thanked the efforts of the team from the Business Promotion and Foreign Trade Area, which "is doing great work to recover productive spaces in areas of great value and in high demand due to their location."

Cofer Seguridad is a leading company in the private security sector, it is located among the 50 companies in the sector with the highest turnover nationwide and currently employs 500 people, being the second with the highest turnover in Andalusia.

The Poniente Business Park was one of the first actions undertaken by the Cadiz consortium outside the fiscal enclosure and was developed in the 90s. This enclave, which extends along an area of more than 32,547 m2, benefits from the synergies generated by its typically urban location, which provides a commercial purpose and services.
