Zona Franca Cádiz, present at the Barcelona International Logistics Exhibition (SIL) after a two-year break due to the pandemic

The Cádiz Consortium has always been faithful to this forum, organized by the Barcelona Free Trade Zone, which is celebrating its 22nd edition from today, May 31 to June 2.

This year's SIL seeks to vindicate the logistics sector in a day that plans to host 12,000 visitors from 81 countries

The Cádiz Free Zone will be present in a new edition of the International Logistics Show (SIL), organized by the Barcelona Free Zone Consortium and which will be held in Barcelona from today May 31 to June 2 , after two editions without being able to hold the meeting due to the pandemic.

The State delegate, Fran González, will attend accompanied by part of his management team and with a strong presence from the Business Promotion and Foreign Trade Area, since it is planned to intensify marketing and take advantage of it to make and strengthen contacts.

In parallel to the contacts and meetings, the Cádiz Free Trade Zone will be present with a stand in the exhibition area, promoting itself as a first-rate logistics focus with a privileged location and two tax precincts that support the logistics capacity of the province of Cádiz.

The Barcelona forum will also serve as a favorable setting for the meeting of the delegates of the seven Spanish free zones, which will take place on June 2. The last meeting of the Spanish free zones was held in Madrid in July of last year and progress was made on issues of common interest such as the development of a joint trade policy strategy to operate in African markets. At this point, the Cádiz delegate explained the work carried out by the Consortium he represents to explore African markets and the convenience of carrying out this work jointly.

Another point that the delegates of the seven Spanish free zones focused on in their last meeting was the role played by tax areas in industrial reconstruction, making special mention of the importance of having customs and tax advantages in these spaces.

The organizers of the SIL intend that this 22nd edition of the SIL, which will have the presence of 650 companies (30% of them international) and expects to receive 12,000 visitors from 81 countries, serves to vindicate the importance of the sector, which has been strengthened after two years of pandemic.

This year's edition will also host 300 congressmen who will debate different areas that affect the sector, such as business transformation, online commerce, new technologies or sustainability.
